Origin of Christianity in Nagaland || The first Christian village Molungkimong

Almost 90% population of Nagaland is Christian. Nagaland is known as "the only predominantly Baptist state in the world". The place from where Christianity started in Nagaland is Molungkimong village which is in Mokokchung district. Ao naga is the first tribe that accepted Christianity.
Christianity arrived in Nagaland in the early 19th century. The person who introduced Christianity to the Naga people was Edward Winter Clark. He was an American missionary who arrived in Molungkimongvillage on 2 March 1876 to set up the first Christian mission in the Naga Hills.
