These little grills are pretty cool! I love mine and use it quite a bit. I’ve made a couple videos using them too! You did a great job on those steaks my friend! I could almost smell them grilling!!
Thank you sir for the view and comment. Yes I do really like the grills, but I have gotten away from it some with the addition of my gas grill. I do plan on doing more videos on this grill. I did watch some of your videos and you do a great job also. Keep in contact. Later.
Thinking about using a high heat spray paint on the shell of my sportsman grill. Of course not the grill grate itself. Any thoughts?? Is this considered a moral sin??
I don't think I would do that. The fumes from the paint would be a long lasting thing. You could do a burn in a couple of times after you paint it before cooking, but I don't think I would chance it. If it is rusty just treat it like any other piece of cast iron an do a reasoning on it. Even though its not a cooking surface it needs a coating just like the outside of a cast iron skillet.
@@ExposedRootWith all due respect, this works for me and I will continue to use it. You do what works for you and we will all just get along. You have a great day sir.
@@low96hb Perhaps that’s why the terrible rating and so far down the watch list. I just kept hitting reload for the Sportsman and this was so far down. Oh and just so you know the chips should be soaked in water for about an hour so they smolder. Put them on dry and they burn out before you even put the meat on. So yeah that taste you love is the fuel on the Matchlight. 🤣🤣Jeez, didn’t you seem them burn up. Yeah go back to the gas grill. It’s FOOL proof.
I went the other way, I used gas for convenience and then switched to all charcoal. Flavor is much better.

MORAL SIN!!
good video
Thank you sir.
Matchlight. 🙄 Next time just use gas from the Toyota.
Now why would I do that?
@@low96hb For the same reason you use Matchlight. To infuse your food with the nice taste of an accelerant.
