I know the 2016 and below do not have Apple CarPlay but will it result to my whole 2018 vehicle not having it due to the radio serial number being a 2016 ?

Actually it's 2017. I found that out the hard way. I have a 2016 charger and the android auto and apple car play started in 2017.
