The clock cutoff was not video editing :) We counted and used the chime scrape to solidify a clean choke

Ok things I need to know. What was your rehearsal schedule? When did you start learning your show? What made you guys fully commit to this program? How where you able to put time into it outside of rehearsal?

@@brothaNbluewe have an advanced percussion class at fishers that last about an hour and a half. We would have this class 2 to 3 times a week. We also had one 3 hour rehearsal after school every week. We start learning our shows around November or December. As for commitment to the program, reasons are different from person. The this we all have in common is that we are all a family that shares our love for percussion in common. Time outside of rehearsals are usually the students responsibility. The most common ways for people to practice are going to the band room during study halls or practicing after school.

Synth player for fishers here. Like Matt said, that cutoff was not video editing. All the clocks were manually set with the alarms, so each time we had to have it set to a specific time per run, and we had a synth patch in the back that layered that alarm sound. We used cues from how everyone would come up and raise the clocks to silence it all in sync at the very end. Super cool, my favorite memory from highschool honestly.

Fishers Concert World Percussion Ensemble is now a four time champion of WGI Concert World. They constantly amaze with the depth and breadth of the music they play.

Hey Adam, thank for reviewing our Kyoto performance. I’ll be honest I forgot we did this piece, and I was just remembering it the other day. We recorded this back in spring 22 while we were all teaching full time either in college or high school. We rehearsed twice and then recorded in the third day. We’re pretty happy with how it turned out all things considered. Thanks for the positive review!

Oh, God! I keep looking for outstanding percussion videos, but I keep finding Adam Tan dialogs with background music.

This is a special recording. When in competition, all Concert class ensembles perform on the same floor that the marching ensembles do.

OMG I’m so stoked to see a video I produced with my friends show up on here!!!! Hello from Fishers!!!! I’m also lucky enough to have been a fishers percussion alumni! I graduated before it got this cool lol but all of the camera operators were actually fishers percussion alumni as well! So stoked to see fishers getting internet recognition!!!!!
