    Madam, two doubts...
    1) For elbw babies with hypoglycemia, what should we use for correction? 5% or 10 % dextrose
    2) how to calculate amount of fentanyl to be added to put in infusion? 1 ml Fentanyl being 50 microgram

It's always 10% unless there is too much hyperglycemia.

Using 500 microgram/10 mL injection draw up 5 mL/kg (250 microgram/kg fentanyl) and make up
to 50 mL with sodium chloride 0.9% or glucose 5% or glucose 10% with a concentration of 1
      mL/hour = 5 microgram/kg/hour.

@@pediatrictakesbydr.pavitra9813 Madam, I was told to calculate for 1 microgram/kg/hr of Midaz and 1 microgram/kg/hr of Fentanyl and they were planning to add it to 50 ml of fluid at rate of 30 ml/hr. I knew how to get value for Midaz but I was not able to get for Fentanyl... that is why I was getting confused...
