My Grandfather's Dad was a brakeman. I never got to meet him, but my Grandfather told me what he said about those enclosed auto cars. Automobiles were once shipped in open carriers, and kids would throw stones at passing trains, knocking out windows and damaging the cars before they got to market.
A bit too much "wind burn" on the mic, but you consistently captured that nice GE diesel growl, and your no-nonsense editing packs a lot of fun into a short video, so heck yes, I'm subscribing.
@@Colton_K probably a wind mic protector so winds don’t have to take over sound and u can have more clear sound of the incoming trains, (note) it might be like an earrape (meaning when the horn blows it’ll get too loud when too close, suggesting u should probably stay where grass is in this video) if you do get those types of ones but either way you’ll be fine, btw I liked one of ur vids ❤️❤️
Excellent great video, mr Carter's Caboose. You scribe in the announcement Columbus subdivision. What means that? Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands 🇾🇪🇺🇸
My daughter lives out there, near omaha, beautiful rails, flat, no hills, no grades. Those trains are light weight. Tankers are the heavies . I was a conductor. That train was about a 12,000 footer, and prob about same in weight maybe 11, 12,000 tons,. UP runs a nice RR. I'm retired now and live near a NS main in Tennessee. Wat a shit RR they are. Every engine is filthy and horrible. All they need to help their image is to wash some locos
@@Colton_K the FRA does not have any limits on how fast freight locomotives can go outside of the manufacturer’s specifications. The vast majority of modern GE freight locomotives are geared for 75 and most EMD’s are geared for 70. The railroad that owns them will then choose how to fast to allow them to operate at. Not the FRA.
Love the sound of those double stack cars flyin by at 2:24
Them sounds of the rails is what brings trains to life
Same here. Very relaxing too
What a beautiful and smooth grade of track.
I honestly like 70 MPH trains, especially rhe intermodal ones. They just sound cool when they pass by the camera. Subscribed.
The only trains going 70 are intermodals except Amtrak
Very good video of my fave UP! These trains are moving fast!
Mine too!
Look for me out here on Friday May 27th.
wauw if all these containers where on the road every day people would be so happy in there private cars, thank you for trains
Super fast intermodal and rebuilt AC6000s!
One engine, that speed on the auto racks, impressive
Yes
It is impressive despising the fact there was no DPU to hold the stress on the cargo together
light...

I wonder what I'll get at UP's Shortline Yard 🤔🤔🤔

Appreciate your feedback. Anything suggestions I could do to get rid of the wind burn?

Columbus is a subdivision or like a line that the railroad uses to get to one place to another
try using a drone camera, or look from above it looks good...
Takes an awfully long time for the signal to drop for the second train (going left to right on the screen).
Awesome video!!
Thank you!!
Very awesome Fast UP trains!
Thank you!
It’s funny hearing the horn sequences, the engineers both under and overstimate how fast their going lol
What on earth,massive works.Kudo vidoe.
That’s awesome!
Fast freight trains !!
Yes indeed!
I am awed by the multitude locos in these trains. Does each one have an engineer, or can they be linked to be run by the lead unit alone?
They are all connected together, one engineer can run it. They have tech for the engines to work that way
Brilliant 👏🏿.
Thanks!
Awesome 👍
Thank you!
Very good video! New subscriber!
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome Thanks 👍
No problem 👍
Скажите пожалуйста сколько лошадиных сил у одного локомотива? Спасибо 🙏
The dpu,s sounds like a race car at the speed

They paint their power black so they can be lazy about washing but it don’t help when you can see how nasty the white lettering is
That train was 141 cars long. Though it had 4 front engines, why no DPUs ?
Guess it didn’t need it
The area is not very mountainous.
CN will stuff 200 auto racks with 1 engine

Why are there freaking concrete rail ties on a Union Pacific subdivision?
That is one fouled up K5HL horn from GEVO C45ACCTE 7467
Can you do a under shot at 70mph
Why don't the lead locomotives have their ditch lights flashing as they approach the crossing?
Different for companies
UP never equipped its locos with alternating ditch lights. BNSF reverted to steady ditch lights after originally using alternating ones.
Excellent video!!
Glad you liked it!
How do you get 70 mph when the locomotive is geared for 65 mph
They’re geared to 75mph but FRA only limits 70mph
@@Colton_K locomotives of the up rr have been posted on you tube. Don't have videos of all locomotive s from the inside but every one I seen is 65 mph
