I’m waiting for mine too. I really love the look of this bumper man. I never realize this video is two years old but I have a 2021 and somebody hit my truck from behind so I gotta put this bumper. Thank you for your video. I really love it.
I’m laughing because I’m about to change a factory painted bumper to a chrome one because I like the chrome better than the painted on a new 2021 Denali. I like chrome !!! Your video was very helpful in how to remove the bumper assembly. Lotta stuff to change over before I put it back on. Great job you did. I liked and subscribed
Now I'm laughing because I just replaced my damaged factory Grey painted bumper to a chrome. Couldn't find the painted Grey so I had to settle for chrome. Just to have it dented a few weeks later. We need to communicate more.
Hey Justin. That front air vent shutter, not an temperature sensor, needs to be deleted with a scanner. I upgraded my grill, left it loose, and noticed my scanner detected a faulty sensor. And as we know all sensors are linked to ecm.
Hey Ismael, I did not remove any motors or sensors. Everything is plugged in and factory. I believe you are referring to my other video for the front bumper, correct. The temp sensor is still plugged in, just mounted somewhere else and I still get a reading with no issues. The front vent motors for the front air vents are sill connected, I did not remove the whole assembly, just the bottom half of the vents are removed and the top vents will work and open as needed. Still not sure if you are referring to the temp sensor or the vent motors, but I have had no issues. Thanks for watching!
How does the truck pull your boat with your lift? Is there any change from stock compared to lifted? Did you do the lift yourself? Thanks and well done. Nice clean looking truck.
Thanks for watching .Truck pulls the boat great. The only difference with the lift and bigger tires is the loss in MPG. I lost about 3-4 MPG over stock. I started to modify the truck almost immediately when I got it, so I really didn't get too much stock info .But I also have a k&N intake, Corsa Exhaust, and Trifecta Tune, so it's really hard to tell. I don't have a vehicle lift, so I had the lift installed professionally.
@@smitty8403 I've only had the truck for a week and also have a fairly new F 350 Platinum. I bought this to save on gas and transport the dirt bikes as opposed to the 350. I want the lift and the Trifecta but it looks like I'm in for higher fuel prices no matter what. Appreciate the timely reply.
@@smitty8403 did good by getting a Trifecta tune. I went the wrong route with a RIPP Supercharger. It's been a headache and high maintenance. Had to pick up a HP Tuner to stay on top of engine parameters.
Which lights? The tail lights were tied into the existing tail light wires. The LED lights were tied into the reverse lights. I cover it in detail in the video.
@@mathewgregoire3732 I believe the lights have short 18 gauge wire but I had some leftover 16 gauge from another project so I used 16 gauge to extend the wires.
Haha wow the odds, Im from Charlotte NC and i recently damaged my rear bumper on my 2015 Canyon. This DV8 bumper adds a nice touch to the Canyon and is actually cheaper than buying a brand new stock bumper. But out of curiosity, how much would you sell your old stock bumper for??

Great video -- You do a superb job on the step by steps. You make it look easy. Thumbed up Video.
Thanks, hope the information helped.
awesome bumper
Thinking of fabbing up a bumper insert for the front of my 2021 Colorado I’m really digging that rear bumper tho. 😬

Have you done any off-roading? I'm wondering how it holds up if you use and abuse it.

I like the bumpers, thanks for showing the process. What lift and exhaust are you running?
4" Rough Country Lift and Corsa Performance Exhaust dual tip.
I got this bumper for my Colorado. Going to install this weekend... Do you have a link to those wire splice clips? Or what size did you use? Thanks
They are all standard and you can get at any big box store.

Can't get the rear camera connector to come off. Any clues
The rear camera is in the tailgate latch. When I changed bumpers, I did not remove the camera.
Is it much heavier than the OEM?
I has been a few months since I installed it but don't remember the DV8 rear bumper being that much different in weight than the OEM bumper.

Yes, I have the original rear stock bumper.
Would you sell it? And how much?
I would sell it but would only do local pickup. I'm in the Charlotte, NC area.
