I didn't know that you worked on fire trucks for a living as well. I worked on fire apparatus for the city of Ft Worth for 3 years. I'm actually thinking about gearing my shop toward fire apparatus repair. Love the truck and I agree about that CM bed for better towing.
I have worked on them mechanically, but I ride one for a living too. Every third day, 24 on and 48 off. There’s good money in emergency apparatus repair, after 3 years I’m sure you saw that. It’s just demanding because when it needs repair it needs it right now! Thanks for watching buddy!
But if the tools you use more often are on the drivers side, why aren’t the hammers in the drivers door pocket? I know Matt needs to be straightened from time to time!
How did you setup your gooseneck to swing over your tool boxes. I need to put an air compressor on my bed but I tow a gooseneck dovetail daily. Did you give you gooseneck hitch a lift to clear your boxes?
On this particular bed the gooseneck plate/ball was right on the deck. I adjusted the coupler down a notch or 2 and that gave me enough clearance for most situations. There were times it was close though and I really had to pay attention to what I was doing.
I just added a link in the description for those boxes. The brand name is Brute. I bought mine used but they continue to be great boxes. Thanks for the question!
Matt & Andy-American Tradesmen Right on. I’ve been wanting a fancy montezuma box but I don’t want the big price tag with it. I might steal your idea and get a box like you got. Maybe add some foam weather stripping around the edges, and just keep the tools oiled up good.
Slatslayer18 I honestly haven’t had any trouble with leaks or tools rusting. I’m still using the box and it’s been really good. Trouble is I can’t find the. I’d on Amazon now to be able to provide a link for y’all.
I like what you got that bed laid out I've got a Montezuma box mounted on my truck for a road chest it's been an awesome investment
Thanks for sharing 👍
I need to build a service truck one of these days. Thanks man. CHEERS 🍻😎
See ya Wednesday buddy!

Have you ever had problems with your red tool box opening up on the road?
Happened once, as long as you make sure the lid is down all the way the tabs on the front door will stay locked in.
Hey just curious if you know what brand those aluminum boxes with drawers are? I really like them

Matt & Andy-American Tradesmen awesome thank you, I appreciate it!
Anytime!
Does your tools rust? I feel like that toolbox isn’t very water proof.
Slatslayer18 surprisingly it does a great job keeping water out. I had my doubts when I bought it and it has been great.

Matt & Andy-American Tradesmen I found it on Walmart’s website! www.walmart.com/ip/6-Drawermetal-Tool-Chest-TB2050BBS-A/20413072
That’s it! I’m glad you found it, I’ve been looking and hadn’t run across one anywhere. I need another for my other work truck. Thanks!!
