Such taste! This is the kind of stuff that I grew up playing and loving! Once again, you play the stuff that I hear stylistically! Growing up a jazz drummer developed my ears and the ability to respond to other players. However, it did not prepare me for commercial music, sessions, country, or rock stuff where the kick and snare are played at a level that requires focus, power and consistency. I was so busy trying to learn polyrhythms and odd time signatures, while others were making money playing 8th notes and quarter notes! I heard Paul Leim say that the less notes he plays, the more money he makes! I’m learning how to do it at 59 years old. But oh how I wish that I could turn back time!
Very nice!!!
Love that arrangement, thank you for sharing.
