Love my Orbea Wild! Its only the Alloy, but it is hydroformed and looks so clean overall. The "H25", love the way it rides, its unique design and its a really quality build EMTB.
Hey Rob, I tried that very bike on a 3 days/200km crossing with all sorts of terrains. That bike is great! Well balanced and great riding position simply inspire a lot of confidence. The only con is that socket cover: a joke from the Spaniards? The 625 Wh battery allowed me to cover 70km in cross-country mode with a total of 1900m uphill. Great!
Great and wonderful video, Rob. I will watch it again. It is worth doing since I don't want to miss a thing you say. I bought an fs wild just a few months ago and i am very interested in your commentaries. Thanks a lot from Spain
Looks fantastic, but I can't understand why they're fitting 12 speed. Combine with the concerns over the charging point and magnet attachment, it doesn't look robust enough to be reliable for serious regular use.
Just wish bike companies would start selling their bikes At reasonable prices, just ridiculous the cost of bikes these days, restricts so many people from being able to afford one without putting themselves into serious debt..
You're full review?? What happened. Here are my thoughts on the Wild FS. I've owned the 2021 Wild FS M20 for 6 months now. A very capable long travel trail/enduro bike. The bike you had must have been one of the first ones. The magnet on mine is integrated into the rear disc so a much neater and more practical design. I've never had a problem with the cover for the charging point either. Throughout the cold weather I always remove the battery to extend its overall life. Yes, a bit of a fiddle to remove it as it is so secure and also trickier to install it but it remains solid when in place. It doesn't rattle or make a noise at all. Neither does the Bosch motor rattle even when descending rapidly on really gnarly downhill sections. It's a great bike for ascending but the front does tend to lift a little too easily on really steep inclines but is extremely nimble. On steep descents it soaks up everything. The reach could be a bit longer to inspire a bit more confidence but is extremely capable. I'd you're gonna ride like a pro downhill rider then buy a downhill bike. It is easy to get your weight over the back wheel on really steep stuff. All in all this is a great all round Emtb. Good at just about everything. It's a shame you never did a proper review of the Wild FS. Why is it always the top of the range model to be tested. Most people can't afford the top of the range model. The M20 version is just over £5k and has the same gorgeous carbon frame but with the aluminium rear triangle, Fox 38 Float Performance Fork, Fox DPS shock, Shimano Deore 4 pot brakes (which are superb) which all combine to complete a great package. More than capable of handling what most people could throw at it. Buy one!
@@fzr1000981 Hi. I got the same Orange as in the video, except the rear triangle is Matt black. Lovely looking frame. I was lucky enough to walk into a shop just as somebody had to cancel their order so I grabbed it.
I got the orange, too (M20), great color, but worried about paint chips on the carbon frame.. Thinking about getting speedbox to remove the speed limit
I was considering buying the H20 version of this bike after watching all the positive reviews when it was priced at £5299. It still is at my local shops but when I saw it on line at £3959 I was there like a shot. Should be arriving any day now.
Love your style bit I’d love to see some more positives/negatives on the way the bike rides. Bike specs and characteristics are nice but we all want to ride the bike through your hands!! Thanks for the great quality videos though, keep it up!
@@RobRidesEMTB new Sub Rob ! I didn’t even test this bike I just saw it yesterday and bought it ! 😂👍🤟🏽🤟🏽 I hope it’s a good bike because I’ve not even ride it yet ! Lol
Rob, the charging plug is meant to be dispensable, that seal has been working for Bosch for over 30 years, its tested tech, just need to know how to get the best. Buy a pack of 5, keep them with your puncture repair kit. Great review, love that bike, can't wait to get out on a bike when surgery is finished...I'd like the hardtail Keram...but nobody is reviewing selling it
Thanks Rob, this is a dream bike. They really did a good job designing the bike. It would be great to have more components options available to customise the bike in MyO. I wish I can afford it.
If you're riding in Morzine, you have to take off the battery from your bike if you want to use a lift and save you some juice for later . In this case it's good to always have your battery key with you :-)
A very good looking bike, the big problem with the rate of development is when and what do you buy, you can wait for the next best and not buy anything or splurge 7+k and the design is out of date in a short time. For the cost of these bikes, dealers should offer a buy back, or guaranteed price for exchanges. If the price go up any higher might as well offer HP and change the bike every 3 years like you do with a car.
Light years better than the previous one. Not sure of the Bosch. £1k more than YT re spec for spec. But a good entry into the market. Competition in the e-enduro market is hot hot!
I'd also like to hear more about how the motor performs, such as cut out as you peddle past the limit and noise while riding etc etc. Perhaps a separate vid review. But great video thanks.
Hi Rob. Can you tell me what size the dropper was on this test bike? I'm about to place an order for an XL, but am a bit worried that the seat tube won't swallow a 170mm dropper to the hilt. The side views of the bike you tested look like the dropper was all the way in, but looks like a 150mm dropper to me. Thank.
Hey Rob great review I just got the model down with alloy rear and not factory suspension:( I wish I’d waited and got this model, what do you think of the non factory spec Wild fs ?
Hoping Rob or someone with experience of this bike can help. I’m ordering this bike (unseen) this week. I’m 185cm which is at the very top of the recommended height for a size large. I’d rather a size L than an XL as I don’t want a monster size bike. But would I be better off with the bigger, heavier size XL in your esteemed opinions? Thanks. 🙏
Nice overview Rob! I totally get your concerns with the battery plug that is quite difficult to get seated, I like what Yamaha uses on theirs with a hinged plug that will never get lost and seals nice and tight. Attention to detail is key with this stuff IMO! Love the design of the frame though also. Curious what the total weight is for this bike! Cheers!
Hummm. I'm thinking this is almost commercial like. Maybe talk about how the frame kinematics ride compared to the old version and a Decoy or other similar frame

Rob, just spotted the cables that exit the frame and enter the chainstay. was there a problem with ghost shifting and the cables kinking at full compression?
whats the point of having a key, and storing it on the bike ??? yes that flap is awful, ad behind that break cable, just bad design, but, i bet the next Levo will have the rear shock in that position
The Bosch is a tad motor but their charger port cover is a total joke, as is their strange obsession with anti tuning measures. Someone who pays this kind of money for a bike should have complete ownership to do whatever they want to it. Rant aside this bike rocks. I have the Niner RipE9 and the Orbea and just can't believe how much more fun the Orbea is to ride vs the Niner

No danger of linking its a full length outer inside a rubber pipe just like on the new occams, works perfectly.
