      you have to give the version that Elvis made a chance. it was recorded within a month before his death it's live befor 20,000 people,just him and his piano it is right on this level of emotion conveyed through vocals

      I saw Elvis preform this live in 1974 during the World's Fair here in Spokane Wa. I was a punk ass little 17 year old and the emotion of this song plus Elvis singing it made it a lifetime memory for me.

      Yep,you either had talent,or you were done.There was nothing to digitally enhance your voice to give folks that extra "help."The way is should be.It's one of the reasons I loved MTV's 'Unplugged' so much.I wonder how many performers these days would have even been considered truly talented if they had to sing without all the vocal enhancements and filters?🙄

    Pure perfection!!! This is Bobbys song. I still get goosebumps when I hear him sing this song just like I did in 1965. I'm 72 yrs old and never get tired of listening to him sing. This is Bobbys song! RIP Bobby! We miss you!!! ❤❤❤❤

      You can’t just listen to the top 40 then bitch about modern music. The best songs of any year that have stood the test of time are obviously going to be good. There was a ton of generic filler music in every decade since the damn birth of music. In 20 years there’s going to be 50 year olds talking about how music hasn’t been good since 2010

      No, because there are phenomenal songs today which stand up to this one (Hearts a Mess - Gotye, Bones - The Killers, This Boys in Love - The Presets). You've just had time to forget all the bad songs from your time. Trust me, overall it was probably much worse than music today.

    Ok, can we all take a minute to appreciate the fact that she did not interrupt this beautiful song, that she waited until the end. That alone gets a thumbs up! Her reaction was so genuine and clearly demonstrated that she clearly felt this song in it's entirety. You were clearly there in the moment.This is from my generation and it is timeless. This artist delivered with the smoothness on each and every note. I could hit repeat on this all day. Good job on this video, your reaction is the best that I have seen for this song on You Tube!

    They got their name from an early gig they did at the naval base in San Diego. Between songs a black guy in the back jumped up. "That's righteous, brothers!"

    A wonderful reaction. A band played a very nice rendition of this song when my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Negril Jamaica. Hearing this song takes me right bad to dancing with my sweetheart under the stars. We continue to have just the most wonderful marriage.

      "Only The Lonely" & "Pretty Woman" are classics but "Running Scared" would be the perfect Orbison song to react to. I'm also partial to "In Dreams".
