I'm an elder zoomer and I'm 23 now, growing up I saw my mates get hard bullied on Facebook, I was the last generation where teachers said "it's not like you will be carrying a calculator with you all the time" we would roam around like rats smashing bottles at 12 but we would also stay inside to play mw2, I am Australian and maybe it was different for others but being born near/in the year 2000 is and was probably the most confusing time for parents and my generation suffered from it, due to the internet we are all connected but disconnected from the older generations (beyond millennial) and we don't share the same viewpoints as we more or less see more of the world but through a lense and elders are jarred by that and hate that young people know more than elders, and I'm some cases it's true, elder zoomers have it tough, we get lumped in with mid/Young zoomers but people forget bo2, the golden age of youtube and peak of flash was all young millennial/elder zoomer stuff. There is no meaning to this, just wanted to add my 10c's

im sure being able to break bottles in an area, that is secluded enough to do so with your buds helped alot. We as Gen Z have it rough
Its best to not have a social media once out of highschool. its what I did. Im sure it kept me from getting dates. But I don't think its good to be so "available" to everybody.

@@lastni2 I wish it was secluded, nah we just did it in the middle of the street, dero stuff (door/low income) not proud but y'know, product of the area and I'm like that with social media, I go reddit VERY rarely and just hang RUclips, a lot of elder zoomers don't touch social media huh?

@@abstractmuffin7129 reddits alright if you wanna get a “general” view of things mostly what everyone else thinks.
i try to keep what everyone else thinks in mind because of what i usually believe. even if reddit is skewed to the more “basement dwelling” side of liberalism
and i think we’re the exception not the rule when it comes to that. i see everyone still posting on snapchat because everyone is obviously so interesting

@@lastni2 I see that, and you are 100% right about reddit, I only use it for game dev discussion and a few small sub reddits but there's a bunch of really messed up credits e.g. r/dankmemes, r/amithebadguy and r/chonkers or whatever the fat animal subreddit, I don't think there is a single social media that isn't detrimental to general mental well-being
