Americans are struggling as it is, I’m hearing stories of no one buying anything right now, and mostly selling. My LCS is complaining to me that he can only take two 1oz gold coins if I wanted to sell anything. He told me even the banks are having cash problems. Any thoughts on this situation? TYIA
It is certainly true Americans are struggling due to inflation and a faltering economy. However, many Americans hold assets that are currently being converted to physical gold and silver (i.e., hard assets) instead of paper assets, stocks, bonds, etc. Or even overvalued real estate. Retirement accounts would fall under these assets as well. It is time to preserve what you have worked so hard for. Secondly, there is indeed a war on cash. Banks have throttled your ability to transact in paper currency for several years, possibly beginning to phase it out as we head to a CBDC over the next few years or less. This is in conjunction with extremely leveraged banks, especially regional banks with exposure to commercial real estate and hugely underwater US bond portfolios with massive unrealized losses. We’ve been waiting twenty years for silver to recapture 1980 prices
