Summer Night Ride to the Caryville, Flats July 19 2014

This was our Windrock ATV Club annual night
ride to the Caryville Flats.
We pulled out from the
parking area with Rooster
leading 18 machines for our
journey to the Flats.
We rode
some great trails and a
couple fresh one's Ron
Durant has been working on,
and they were pretty muddy
after the rain. Our tires were
like running slicks and that
made the trails even more
fun as we was slippin' &
slidin' all the way thru them.
We made it to the Flats just
after dark and have supper
and enjoyed the view of the
Caryville lights from the
overlook. Then we began
our trip back and all was
going good until I hear
someone on the radio say
that a Rhino in front of them
had a flat. This was the only
issue we had all night. When
the air pump was brought
out to air the time back up,
we noticed the valve stem
was Gone! So in true
Windrock Club fashion the
tire was off and repaired in
no time by the Pit crew chief
Doug Murphy and his fellow
crew members! With a new
valve stem and a couple of
tire plugs in the sidewall we
were back on our way. We
returned back to the trucks a
little after 1am with 60 miles
of trails behind us and
everyone accounted for..It
was an Awesome Ride!
