  • Today I headed out to the Construction site to do some relic hunting. The ground was really muddy from the recent rain showers, but that wasn't an issue for me. I searched in the mud for a few hours and managed to sniff out a couple good targets from beneath the iron. I'm glad I had the opportunity to save some more history before it gets destroyed . This site will probably have houses on top in the next few months. I hope yall enjoy the video, Thanks for Watching and God Bless!

    About Nugget Noggin:
Hey! I'm Michael, I love to get outdoors and discover awesome things
with my metal detector. I started treasure hunting when I was 12 years
old and shortly after received my first metal detector. Since then, I've
been hooked and just love going out to search for the unknown. You
may see me in the woods crawling under an old house or diving down
in the river to search for rings. Wherever the adventure brings us, I'll try
my best to keep you entertained.

Thank you so much for providing the photos that you did at the end.
I do not know much about these things so seeing how they would have been used in their time just fascinates me even more. Everything has value and a purpose and beauty. Thanks Michael and God Bless.

Hi Nugget, I did a hunt in a whole load of mud recently. This was extracted from an old stream that was silting up and cleared to help drain the land. Boy was it tough going. Stuck to everything and managed to work it's way up my boots and half way up my legs too. It took me at least an hour to clean up afterwards. . then another hour to clean the car inside and out. So I admire the way you kept at it even when it was raining on you too. Well done my friend.

My brother is a heavy-equipment operator and dozier driver. He has an arrowhead and bottle collection that would knock your eyes out. His best arrowhead is see-thru with rainbow colors about 7 inches long. We are from south Georgia. In swampy areas the Indians would camp on mounds where they could find them to keep the camp dry. This is where we look for the arrowheads.

    • @Triohs
      @Triohs 8 лет назад +2

I know your probably not gonna reply, but what part of south Georgia do you live in because I live in south Georgia and my uncle always hunts for arrowheads, he only has about 10, 11 arrowheads but he just started hunting them about 3 months ago. I hunt for 'em but not as much as he does. By the way I live in Cook County.

Just finding this old video. I'm getting back into detecting after laying off about 15 years and was conquered by the mud today, so just brushing up. Early on you found an artifact that I've found many like. In my approximation they were hand held knife blades flaked for quick use for cutting or scraping. Definately a good find.

I think that rock is some kind of skinning tool, some kind of knife to separate the sinew from the bone...just guessing! Someone gave me one somewhat like that and it fits in my hand so well that it seems like it had to be a tool for a woman.
I've been holding it back but I can't help it, do you do your own laundry? Could be a contract in there with some detergent company!;} That's some ground in mud!
That one metal thing looks like a stirrup at least the shape is there.
I would be addicted to the hunt! I love imagining the lives lived there. I am addicted to the hunt it's just not mine yet.
God Bless, Nugget. I liked the pictures you showed so we could see how the pieces were used or fit in.
