  • Another quick edit from 2015 - club member Bryan's R/C STOL concept, the Mudgy series. With this design, he decided to try a completely different take on the airframe/tail section/and wing assembly. The overall result looks like a cross between a Walt Disney designed fuselage and a standard STOL wing with fowler flaps. Unfortunately after a few flights he decided it was a dud and didn't do quite what he wanted to. Over the last few years, he has switched to all electric and drastically reduced his weight and got the wing loading right where he wants it on his newer STOL models.
Stay tuned in the next couple months for his largest ever Mudgy creation built alongside a few youth members of our R/C club. You won't want to miss it!

Bryan is a inspiration to experiment and be creative. Is there a web page showing the Mudgy line of designs and what was learned?
