Here’s a bit of a secret between guys: when it comes to tomboys, most of the guy friends develop crushes on them during puberty. We tend to feel embarrassed though so most won’t ever admit it, let alone to the girl. When she starts becoming girly, and most often (as it was with you) becomes even more attractive we either make our move when it first happens or lose her to some random guy that takes notice of her new self and makes his move. Being friends with a girl, especially when we’re teens, makes trying to ask her out SIGNIFICANTLY harder.
