Biggie Smalls and Tupac had so much power in the industry that the East and West coast went to war over their beef. But before they started the fight that led to their deaths, Biggie and Pac were actually so tight that Biggie would crash on his couch when he was in LA. So how did they go from homies to enemies? Today we’re breaking down the wild story behind their friendship and deadly beef.

The whole thing was a big misunderstanding Tupac thought that “Who shot Ya” was a diss, when it was recorded months before Tupac got shot but Bigge wanted it to be released with the album, which happened to be after Tupac got shot, which made pac even more angry, because when he heard it he was in prison so once he came out, he was furious

plus a female reporter that was close to Puffy started the rumor that Pac got raped in prison. Pac was furious about it. On his first interview after he got released, You can see how that rumor hurt him and how he was ready to get back at them.

Even Pac himself towards the end didn't want nothing happening to Biggie and wanted to fix it with him til it was too late. What the public doesn't know is that both MCs still respect each other and all even though the coastal feud was still going on at the time

He didnt, Tupac got bagged for that r*pe with Haitian jack and he ratted them out, I dont see that as snitching because of the crime but they were mad and they came back to get revenge for that, Haitian Jack even had his chain on a day after the robbery. They blamed puffy because puffy was the lil soft dancer dude and Tupac didnt want to face snitch allegations so he picked his battle and he chose Diddy and biggie rather them those two

  • @M355IAH

The first time Tupac was shot in Manhattan was either linked to Puffy or Suge Knight, but one thing is clear-Suge Knight took advantage of the situation by (bailing out and) using the opportunity to gain Tupac's loyalty and control over Tupac's career.
'Who shot ya', written months before the Quad Recording Studios, Manhattan, incident with Tupac, was a really bad timing, especially when Tupac had people, with their own agenda, around to brainwash him to the point, he (Tupac) could not stand Biggie anymore when there was a clear association between Biggie and Puffy by then (as the saying goes, friends of your enemies are also your enemies), the latter (Puffy) who was friends with the one (Jimmy Henchman) who was going to setup Tupac the night he was shot multiple times in the ground floor of Quad Studios-it was also important to halt Biggie, due to his association with Puffy, at this point by people who saw Biggie as a threat-Biggie was also becoming the closest competitor or on equal footing to Tupac from the other coast.
We have all faced or will face something similar to this, with or without getting shot, in our lives at some point-doesn't matter what career you are in.
Biggie's rise would be an issue for people like Suge Knight who saw Tupac as a golden goose capable of laying golden eggs, so stalling Biggie's career somehow by damaging his personal life and mental peace (i.e., Tupac claiming to have slept with Faith Evans) would somehow keep Tupac in the top-notch of the hip-hop industry with a track like "Hit 'Em Up", the latter where Biggie deliberately chose not to release a counter-diss record since he was clearly innocent and wanted Tupac to naturally figure it out at the end-which never happened.
But Biggie still had anger in him from Faith Evan's adultery, which is why he let his childish side vent out that anger in one or two interviews after Tupac's death against Tupac-but that was as far as Biggie would go: verbal attack.
The night Tupac was shot was related to a gang retaliation (Orlando Anderson), not Biggie at all.
On the other hand, Biggie was murdered EITHER
    i) out of retaliation by a gang loyal to Tupac (wishing to settle the previous score even though Biggie was not even in the picture),
ii) by someone who originally shot Tupac and later wanted the whole Tupac-Biggie murder seem like they went against each other out of anger and retaliation as to obstruct justice to prevent search of the actual killer(s) or mastermind; OR
iii) a third party, with substantial direct or indirect interest in the hip-hop industry, wishing to benefit from the death of two of the world's best rappers at the time.
The truth is, Tupac was not shot even remotely through Biggie's influence that night.
This is why the ending for both of them was not only tragic, but pathetic!

@@Imthatoneboy This is why Jay Z and Nas are still alive and celebrated by Hip Hop. They were able to squash the beef very quickly and become friends. With biggie and pac I think pac felt more in a sense hurt and because of that it lead to his paranoia and distrust of a lot of people on the east coast. Then suge came in and I felt like he had a score to settle with bad boy and that just lead to a crazy feud that didn’t need to happen. Pac would’ve came around eventually if they’ve been alive a couple more years.

Hip hop more about theatric's than realism. Biggie was a real thug , a real street nigga with a wicked gift of gab to the ladies and a ruthless iron hand flow for his lyrical enemies. Tupac was a great actor and performer with a voice that reached a whole world. He literally went to a school for theatrics and music arts. A perfect combo for a powerfully speaker. Tupac may not have been a real Crip or blood , but his personality and power in his words and how he made words come to life.

Also allegedly sleeping with Biggie’s wife then alluding to the idea that the kid might be his was fucked up. It ruined a family and that kid is gonna have to live with the speculation that he might be a product of infidelity. Biggie should've made it clear that the song was not a diss to Tupac when he put out the song(s). I mean, look at what he was saying, at the time, how could you not at least wonder if he's talking about Tupac?? He should've said to the fans before putting out the song "this is NOT about anyone, I'm not dissing anyone on this song, you may assume based on the lyrics, but that's not the case." Like a disclosure or a warning. But I think because he didn't do that, it WAS a diss. Because how do you not think "well, he may think this is about him, considering his situation"? Or like Tupac said, he shouldn't have released the song at all😐I think Diddy might've influenced him, though

Somebody in the east or west coast set the whole thing up to make them hate each other and killed 2Pac and waiting for biggie to be killed six months later

I don't know why this vs is even a topic....it's not even comparable.. the facts are that biggie did not accomplish enough to have a " crown " on his head like portrayed in pictures. Let's be honest here, biggie had a nice flow but it was all the same flow over and over and over and predictable....
Now tupac literally had different songs with different flows and different styles etc....
Yall are so ignorant to say that tupac acted like a characterfrom juice, it's the most dumbest thing to say...first off, tupac was just being himself in juice....many people around the time said it in interviews. They said tupac was just being himself....it's the people on the outside and the haters that started saying that because tupac was on a different level and was on a trajectory that no one ever saw. Tupac was an icon before anyone else.....the first
