I actually agree with Egal here. Yes the goal in any sport is to win but when a situation has been so toxic and dirty for so long you can’t expect immediate success. You can’t go from being an alcohol for 20+ years and then quit the next day. It takes time. The way I look at it is that what Arteta has done deserves massive credit because even if Arteta hits a ceiling and can’t go higher,at the very least the next manager will have such an solid team to push forward. Yes UTD won a cup but everyone and their dog knows that the possibility of them falling off a cliff would be highly probable because the foundations are so rotten to the core.
