While growing up, this used be my favorite item for breakfast. I am from Bangladesh, basically a 'Bengali' as well. I could connect with so many things like: Bhoger Khichuri, Ilish maach, luchi, dalna and all that. I really admire the efforts you guys are putting. So a huge hug from a 'Bong' from Bangladesh. :)
This channel is just awesome, your videos have such a relaxing aesthetic effect. I am a south Indian but since childhood I have been a fan of Bengali food because my neighbor Bengali aunty used to make these amazing dishes for me.Now after 15years, I am trying out these dishes and they give an amazing feel of nostalgia and the same old taste. Thank you for helping me revive those old memories.
I must tell that culture, and food of bengalis are so authentic and many of the dishes are so mouth watering even if they are as simple as this potato fries it has the taste of heaven 😍😍

I not only follow your channel, I cook a lot of your recipes. Bong Eats is inarguably the best channel I have come across for Bong Food. And yes, the naughty munching in the end was too cute ! 😊
My bengali husband immensely loves potatoes fried this way. I wanted to make this for him. But when I looked up on some other channels i found out that they have made the same in a much shorter procedure as compared to yours. So, i got to being lazy and did the same. Now I know why you guys have some extra steps as compared to the others. Slicing the potatoes and then cutting matchsticks gives a much better texture as compared to grating them directly. Drying the potatoes before frying also makes a huge difference. I have been a fan of this channel ever since. Keep up the good work. 😊
you should upload more videos more recipes. You look like a professional chef . From your knife selection, to your cutting technique and the way you fold your left hand fingers and slide through while chopping..everything is on point.

Subarna Shekhar Gaine You do realise that this video making takes a lot of effort and they have to show a clean clutter free kitchen and everything is too sterile - potatoes, expensive slicers, clothes to dry potatoes, kadai, the sieve, tokri, chef knife, paper napkins , fry oil spoon , mortar pestle..this must have taken them an entire day to shoot.

Thank you, Antheia. As you've discovered, grating potatoes is ok if you are in a hurry, but for aloo bhaja perfection, chopping is the way to go.
