Saw Avatar in concert a week ago. Great show and have been on such an Avatar kick lately. Just came across the band being vegan and that makes me like them even more.
Great interview, intelligent discussions in all topics of the interview, the way the world is going, where our own habits and responsibilities are affecting things, and also insights into the music business that people generally don't get to hear.
@@VeganBlackMetalChef liked it is an understatement...it was a great interview on subjects you don't get to hear much about. As for the new album, having heard it, it is a relief that there is soneone else out there that thinks like I do... Many of these things (as covered in Hunter Gatherer) have been on my mind for longer than I care to say......
@@VeganBlackMetalChef Oh, I meant the bit around 12:09 about the food scene in "Finland and Switzerland". Sorry to go all nerd ragey, I guess people from either of those countries are just so primed for this sort of thing. I'll call it the Lithuania vs. Latvia effect. Or the Slovenia vs. Slovakia effect? Eh, anyway. Johannes smooths over it with nary a twitch of the eyebrow :)
I remember seeing them open for Meshuggah in 2016. I had no idea who they were at the time. I ended up seeing both bands twice in a weekend because I also went to Aftershock that year.
@12:00 you guys are talking about the beyond burgers....those things do taste awesome!, however, I don't know how it is with other vegans, but my body is way less agreeable to foods with high protein content than before choosing a vegan/crualty free life.
@@VeganBlackMetalChef trying to copy paste it... in smaller bits in case that is the problem... I have a problem with the worldview that european values are "human" or "universal"... As an #indigenous I would prefer NOT to be lumped together with "westerners"... "Poverty" is a western concept enforced onto others to control them. We should be honest, that should be the main value of "veganism" you would think... But listening to them act superior to #indigenous to who everything is sacred shows it is a continuation of western values instead of accepting it is just plain wrong!
Please do not pretend this is me "hating" europeans as it is actions not race! You should be open to honest debate and accept the consequences of your actions. You are still "genocide-ing" half the world here and pretending it is not happening! It is just plain wrong!
Wow I didn’t know they were vegan! I’ve listened to them for years!
Came as a surprise for me as well :D
I've been checking out all Avatar's music on RUclips after watching this interview. They are brilliant!
They truely are the best.
I love them even MORE, that the whole band is vegan. They are awesome!! 🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤

The timing of this video is amazing, been listening soooo much to Avatar recently!
Me too, I just discovered them some days ago! 😍
My favourite band at the moment. And to find out they're vegan makes me glad! Thanks for this!
Thank you so much. This was such an interesting mix of of very relevant topics. Makes me want to go to Finland for a fancy 7 course meal ;)

Great guys! looking forward to hear this conversation
I really admire Avatar band. Congratulations for the interview.
The VBMC confused Sweden and Switzerland at least once during the interview :(
No i meant switzerland because i was talking about my own experiences with non usa contracts

Cool podcast, just a small hopefully constructive criticism, for me personally the music in the background is too loud
I agree. I'd rather no background, especially for a long interview
Noted
Congrats! Nice interview!
VBMC had a podcast?!
Its a podcast style episode
Seen you guys at THE Regent very cool band. 🤘🏻
Yay Sweden! 😁

Fuck yeah! Avatar! 🤘🏻
Тот русский комент..
I see my comment was erased, you can erase the comment but not the #indigenous! #unsubscribed
No one has erased any comments. Sometimes youtube hides stuff now
Believe me, I do not even erase the worst comments directed toward me. I have no idea what you wrote
@@VeganBlackMetalChef ok, reposted it and resubscribed! Rock on!
