Thanks for sharing the video! I wasn't sure a laser 2 could be single handed easily but it looks like you had no problem. Interested to see you sail it single handed it in stronger winds. Think you will be able to keep it under control?
Check out the Fort De Soto and Kentucky lake video I posted. It can definitely be done, especially with a little skill and athleticism. Someone more talented than me probably could’ve handled it a lot better!
nice stuff! contemplating putting together a laser 2 rig on a hull I already have. I've always wondered how they might handle WITHOUT the jib (sorry you lost yours, but gives me a good chance to ask : ) . Did the helm feel very unbalanced without it? boat always trying to round up into the wind? maybe not enough wind in your case to really tell. But I'll appreciate any thoughts/experiences nonetheless.
Fantastic, it's a blast, even with my little zuma on clearwater bay is fun. Will a dynamic or seitech dolly fit the laser 2? I have the right-on trailer and am thinking of trading up sometime.
where can I get one and how fast does does it go compared to an opti? Ive been trying to find one but searing for a laser 2 brings up hundreds of lasers that have laser blank laser blank none that are just laser 2 or laser mk2. few more questions Do you know the weight limit on it? is it car top-able? Can you fit 2 adults on it comfortably? thank you!
Where did you buy that laser? There was one like that up here in Orlando at Lake Fairview for a while. I sail an MFG Sidewinder which is similar. Great video!
Daniel Pollock, I bought it from Unbridled Sailing in Louisville. I’m based in Indiana but I’ll back down to sail from AMI to Egmont and explore up there over Memorial Day weekend.
Nice! I think I may be out there that weekend too! I’ve taken my boat out to Anna María once but haven’t taken it to passage key yet...definitely on the list. There’s a guy on RUclips, Igor something, that sailed a laser 2 1500 km solo in somewhere in the Mediterranean...definitely a nice boat 👍👍
Daniel Pollock yeah, I checked out his videos when I was researching this boat! I’m hoping to do some longer sails with it like he has. Very inspiring!
Amazing sailing, come on.
Nice work man, loving the vibes from this video!
Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from you! I’ll be back down there in just a week. New video coming soon after 😎
What a great video, so cool, so fun, well done :)
David Sumners thank you so much! I actually have footage for another video ready, but just haven’t edited it yet.
Great sailing!
Thanks! It's a fun boat. Need to get around to editing and posting some more.
