For those who don’t understand how the game works, you’re presented with a hallway with a bunch of details. When you walk down it, if you see anything off, like a door handle in the wrong place or a poster is wrong, you turn around and head back. If nothing is wrong, you continue forward. Get 8 hallways correct in a row with no mistakes and you beat the game.
@@Tmitricwhen you enter a hallway after having successfully decided whether there was an anomaly, the number on the poster at the start goes up! But if you dont turn back with an anomaly (or do turn back without one), it resets to one and you start over.
@@mocaisdumb2939 yeah obvious anomalies make you lose time because you have to turn back in order to avoid them and that makes it a bad speedrun. I think the sentence you two are looking for is "8 hallways *WITHOUT* anomalies"
@@bbgwsp Turning around to walk a tiny hallway is slower than running through the entire long one? Think about it for a minute and you'll understand that obvious anomalies are faster, except for the very end, because you cannot end the run on an anomaly.
Go and watch someone that's not a speedrunner play it. It's harder than it looks, especially if you don't know any of the possible changes in the hallway.
It's an observation game about noticing changes, big or small, when going through the hallway. It is a pretty good game, but it's absolutely destroyed by Shorts and speedrunners. The game doesn't work if you play it like that.
Simple, if nothing looks wrong in the hallway, continue moving forward. If theres something wrong (example: lights flickering, duplicating paintings, and 2 people infront of you). Instantly walk backward. The game has 8(?) Hallways, it starts at hallway 0, until you traverse at hallway 8. If you walked forward when theres an anomaly (something wrong), you instantly restart back at hallway 0. (Some anomalies jumpscare you and restart you)
Ah, for context, this is kind of a memory game. You're presented with a hallway and have to see if anything changes when you go through it. If there are no changes, then you proceed through the hallway, but if there are, then you turn around instead. If you get it wrong, then it resets and you need to start from the beginning. It's not hard to beat if you've played it before, but starting fresh with no idea of the possible changes makes it a bit challenging.

All yall hating for no reason or typing get a life are the one who need to do something with your life the fact that a dude playing a game is what gets you mad is insane
I would venture to bet that instead of being totally random there is actual something in game that controls whether you get a hallway with or without anomalies. Like some games you get the difficult set of enemies if you enter the new room or in this situation hallway or load point when the internal game click is on an odd millisecond. It gets much more complicated than that and many games speed runners think it is just random for 20 years until someone goes into the code and figures it out.
Theoretically, you could just go back-and-forth and get a run that way that’ll be the fastest way possible it be random guess (r&g) but it’d secure a permanent run
For everyone saying how bad the game looks, go play the actual game and you will see how hard it actually is. Watching a speedrun on the game is going to make you think the game is bad because they known everything like the back of their hand.
Level 8 is pretty crazy😂 this gane could do you so dirty and be like "oohh so actually there was a spec of dust 3 feet forward and 2 feet to the left that wasnt in the last level"

So immediate turn backs is the perfect route right? The more normal hallways you get the slower youd be because you have to walk all the way down the hall
On any other section than #8, yes. On #8 you have to exit from the far end (because that's where the stairs are), which means it has to be a clean room for it to count. So getting anomalies on #8 is just wasted time because you have to repeat #8 until you get a clean one.
So wait. There is a 50/50 shot at getting each hallway right with no observation being necessary. You have a 3 out of 1000 shot of guessing right 8 times in a row. Just play the game 500 times in a row and a world record speed run is all but assured.
i think i have a ideia to make it faster. ofc this would never happen. but imagine getting 8 anomalies at the same time! making you back track and getting some time cut! or even more! no anomalies at all
