I admit I may be the only person on earth who really doesn't like Lara Fabian's voice, but I always thought I'd like this song if only I could hear a completely different, really elevated treatment of it by someone else, and this did it for me. As a Dimash Dear for 7 years, I can't stop myself from listening almost exclusively to Dimash. Despite my best efforts, other singers usually lose me in less than 10 seconds...but these guys definitely broke through!
Thank you for this reaction. They did it to me again…they made me feel every word. The arrangements alone for these 4 spectacular voices is unparalleled. Imagine the work it must have taken to sing in a language they do not speak as Koreans! Imagine the work put into the actual vocal arrangements and the research that went into this homage to Lara Fabian’s Montreal Concert version. Imagine the work put in to understand and emote the author’s biographical story. They were also responsible for presentation and set design etc They actually also have a Korean version named Alone With Tears on their ‘The Forestella’ album also released in 2021. This performance was broadcast live on Phantom Singer All Stars in 2021 during the pandemic with an online audience and a few selected celebrity guests and their fellow contestants as audience in this spin-off, friendly rivalry show from the Phantom Singer series of which Forestella were the winners of season 2. All 9 winning teams of seasons 1,2 and 3 were represented in this series which ran from January to April 2021. Serge Lama himself complimented them on this particular performance and uploaded this video to all his social media platforms in France and asked his countrymen to watch it. 👏👏👏❤️

However, Forestella sang this song as an homage for Lara Fabian's version. It notes in the lyrics with terms in feminine form (orpheline, heureuse). But Serge Lama posted his praises about this stage on his official SNS. (Twitter, IG, FB). Forestella released their Korean version of this song in their 3rd album: the Forestella. 눈물 속에 홀로 (Alone in Tears) has lyrics in Korean. Even the words in the lyrics were changed a lot from the original Je suis malade, you can feel the deep emotions and vibes of the original in it if you try to listen. One of the members of Forestella (Bae DooHoon) contributed in writing some lyrics in Korean as well. This was their 2nd performance as a whole group in Phantom Singer All Stars (I'll say PSAS) which could be held inviting all the Phantom Singer finalists groups from season 1~3 because covid situation made every concert canceled. For that reason they had online audience and a few celeb guests only. The celebrity guests and online audience voted to someone they liked. There were 7 rounds with different themes. But one theme was solo performance representing the group, and one theme was seasons' match. So each group had 5 songs as a whole group. Forestella sang Time in a bottle, Je suis malade, Shape of you, a Snail, Inner Universe as a whole group in PSAS. Forestella did very good job on every single one. They sang in 7 languages in total, in English, French, Spanish, isiZulu, Korean, Russian, and Latin. It's interesting they were not praised for their perfect French because the audience couldn't handle the emotional tornado, even to forget they were not native French speakers. Forestella delivered full emotion over the language barrier, the audience could feel the song even it's in French.

I recommend you “ Inner Universe”covered by Forestella ruclips.net/video/V_DydzUnTmU/видео.htmlsi=ef_M-kzinSZn0H9O And “Inner Universe” is an opening theme song for the Japanese sci-fi animation series composed by Yoko Kanno and performed by Origa in 1995. The lyrics are in Russian, English, and Latin. Since Origa passed away, Yoko has been very strict on copyright issue. She thought no one could sing that song as good as Origa. And most fans of the song did not expect anyone to successfully sing such an esoteric and philosophical song. For that reason she and her agency have never allowed uploading cover song on RUclips. However, the broadcaster in Korea, ignorant of the policy, uploaded “Inner Universe” video covered by Forestella on RUclips and the agency demanded that it be taken down. It's a sad story about how the Phantom singer version “Inner Universe” disappeared. However the drama comes later. On another “Inner Universe” video on RUclips performed by Forestella, Yoko herself left the comment that it was cool. And Forestella fans were surprised that she liked it and the video is still on RUclips even she awears of that. Because she loved that cover, she allowed it as an exception. Then she visited South Korea to go to Forestella concert. And Yoko and Forestella having great relationship each other. Because she liked their cover so much, their song became one and only cover officially allowed to be posted on RUclips and on air. That makes me so proud of them.😊😊😊

When Dimash sings in Kasakh I think he sings very beautifully i.e. Akkuym (My swan, music video), Qaragym-ai (Apple of my Eye - especially the version when Dimash sang the song for his late teacher/mentor and composer of the song Kenes Duisekeyev who died due to covid) and Omir (which you already have reacted to). I have been lucky to see Dimash live at four concerts (Riga, Düsseldorf, Prague and Budapest). The story of one sky live at Budapest is the best performance I ever heard from Dimash.

I admit I may be the only person on earth who really doesn't like Lara Fabian's voice, but I always thought I'd like this song if only I could hear a completely different, really elevated treatment of it by someone else, and this did it for me. As a Dimash Dear for 7 years, I can't stop myself from listening almost exclusively to Dimash. Despite my best efforts, other singers usually lose me in less than 10 seconds...but these guys definitely broke through!
Thank you for this reaction. They did it to me again…they made me feel every word. The arrangements alone for these 4 spectacular voices is unparalleled. Imagine the work it must have taken to sing in a language they do not speak as Koreans! Imagine the work put into the actual vocal arrangements and the research that went into this homage to Lara Fabian’s Montreal Concert version. Imagine the work put in to understand and emote the author’s biographical story. They were also responsible for presentation and set design etc They actually also have a Korean version named Alone With Tears on their ‘The Forestella’ album also released in 2021. This performance was broadcast live on Phantom Singer All Stars in 2021 during the pandemic with an online audience and a few selected celebrity guests and their fellow contestants as audience in this spin-off, friendly rivalry show from the Phantom Singer series of which Forestella were the winners of season 2. All 9 winning teams of seasons 1,2 and 3 were represented in this series which ran from January to April 2021. Serge Lama himself complimented them on this particular performance and uploaded this video to all his social media platforms in France and asked his countrymen to watch it. 👏👏👏❤️

This is a famous French song, Je suis malade. (I'm sick) The original singer is Serge Lama. However, Forestella sang this song as an homage for Lara Fabian's version. It notes in the lyrics with terms in feminine form (orpheline, heureuse). But Serge Lama posted his praises about this stage on his official SNS. (Twitter, IG, FB).
Forestella released their Korean version of this song in their 3rd album: the Forestella.
눈물 속에 홀로 (Alone in Tears) has lyrics in Korean. Even the words in the lyrics were changed a lot from the original Je suis malade, you can feel the deep emotions and vibes of the original in it if you try to listen. One of the members of Forestella (Bae DooHoon) contributed in writing some lyrics in Korean as well.
This was their 2nd performance as a whole group in Phantom Singer All Stars (I'll say PSAS) which could be held inviting all the Phantom Singer finalists groups from season 1~3 because covid situation made every concert canceled. For that reason they had online audience and a few celeb guests only. The celebrity guests and online audience voted to someone they liked. There were 7 rounds with different themes. But one theme was solo performance representing the group, and one theme was seasons' match. So each group had 5 songs as a whole group. Forestella sang Time in a bottle, Je suis malade, Shape of you, a Snail, Inner Universe as a whole group in PSAS. Forestella did very good job on every single one. They sang in 7 languages in total, in English, French, Spanish, isiZulu, Korean, Russian, and Latin.
It's interesting they were not praised for their perfect French because the audience couldn't handle the emotional tornado, even to forget they were not native French speakers. Forestella delivered full emotion over the language barrier, the audience could feel the song even it's in French.

And “Inner Universe” is an opening theme song for the Japanese sci-fi animation series composed by Yoko Kanno and performed by Origa in 1995.
The lyrics are in Russian, English, and Latin.
Since Origa passed away, Yoko has been very strict on copyright issue. She thought no one could sing that song as good as Origa. And most fans of the song did not expect anyone to successfully sing such an esoteric and philosophical song. For that reason she and her agency have never allowed uploading cover song on RUclips. However, the broadcaster in Korea, ignorant of the policy, uploaded “Inner Universe” video covered by Forestella on RUclips and the agency demanded that it be taken down. It's a sad story about how the Phantom singer version “Inner Universe” disappeared.
However the drama comes later. On another “Inner Universe” video on RUclips performed by Forestella, Yoko herself left the comment that it was cool. And Forestella fans were surprised that she liked it and the video is still on RUclips even she awears of that. Because she loved that cover, she allowed it as an exception. Then she visited South Korea to go to Forestella concert. And Yoko and Forestella having great relationship each other.
Because she liked their cover so much, their song became one and only cover officially allowed to be posted on RUclips and on air. That makes me so proud of them.😊😊😊

I listen to all their songs and love most of them. But of course some are closer to my heart, i.e Nella Fantasia, Chagall’s Dream and Angel by Forestella. When Dimash sings in Kasakh I think he sings very beautifully i.e. Akkuym (My swan, music video), Qaragym-ai (Apple of my Eye - especially the version when Dimash sang the song for his late teacher/mentor and composer of the song Kenes Duisekeyev who died due to covid) and Omir (which you already have reacted to). I have been lucky to see Dimash live at four concerts (Riga, Düsseldorf, Prague and Budapest). The story of one sky live at Budapest is the best performance I ever heard from Dimash.
I have a suggestion for you, a new young artist named Emma Kok with André Rieu at Maastricht: Voilà and Dancing on the Stars. She is sixteen years old and is a fantastic singer. If you make a reaction start with Voilà from August 2023, the other song is from August 2024.
