@NintendoBlackCrisis as for the one on the right, that tower looking one. Is it just me, or does it look like you could ride up to the top using antigravity where you then take off flying from the top?
The second I saw this notification it reminded me of when you used to stream speed trials in Mario Kart 8. Great to see you doing some more Mk content!
My theory is that the game is going to have a "cross country" focus. Maybe every track won't be a loop, and will just go from start to finish like Mount Wario or the F-Zero stages in Mk8.
In that case, I wonder why this track is called Mario Bros. "Circuit"... Edit: At 1:49 of this video, just when the console turns around- there seems to be a pit lane to the left side of the track. There's no way a pit lane would be at the starting point of the race if this were indeed a point-to-point race.
I'm all for an open-world Mario Kart. As for the different karts (namely the snowmobile), I'd like to see different wheel types being more effective on certain racetracks. Like the snowmobile being better for snowy tracks, or off-road vehicles being better for dirt tracks.
i think in a interview once a long time ago a nintendo employee said that one of the planned gimmicks for mario kart 8 before the anti gravity was gonna be drills that could dig through terrain. i think it would be cool if it returned officially in that game.
Alternate track layouts are a likely inclusion. I've thought about merging all the Luigi tracks into one map, prioritizing GBA Luigi Circuit's vibe. Could do it for the snes tracks too.
Here's the modes Mario Kart 9 will have. This is not speculation or opinion, but real news: *Grand Prix* - vanilla grand prix. Three races on closed racetracks, who cares. *Street Race* - A starting point and a finish line is placed on the HUB world. Players must race from Point A to Point B, taking whatever route they'd like. These points can be manually placed when hosting a room, but the game will place the points at random when playing with randos online. *Grand Prix Tour* - Three races on closed racetracks, _however,_ upon completeing a race, players will manually drive to the next racetrack. This will incorperate the large, interconnected world. Players may take whatever route they like to the destination, but going offroad may result in you getting pulled over by the police. This section isn't on the Switch 2. You will literally have to get into your car and drive while the official Nintendo app tracks your GPS. *City Trial* - A new mode in Mario Kart, but it's not Mario Kart, it's actually City Trial from Kirby Air Ride! *Funky Mode* - Funky Kong. Bananas only. Lakitu cannot boss you around.
@@NintendoBlackCrisis sent the comment before i got to that part in the video lol. but yeah it is. it feels much more of a career type game where you’re building up you car collection and racing career with an open world to go with it that has a ton of different activities sprinkled around and is also so damn pretty graphically. it’s almost like a hub world where you travel from activity to activity but a lot of these activities take place in the over world
I get the feeling this game may take cues from Mario Kart Tour and have multiple variants of the same tracks, along with the potential of alternate costumes. That's probably how they're going to extend the longevity of the game, after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe provided us with so much content.
I actually don't think custom tires are in this game. The skis and treads on Rosalina's kart seem very specific to the kart's design. Yoshi's scooter also had specifically "scooter-like" wheels, they aren't just slims. And even though Luigi's tires look very similar to Mario's, the hubcap is a different color, which is a pretty minute alt compared to Standard and Blue Standard in 8. I think these karts are going to be more like old karts, like in Wii, or something like Tour.
Did you know that it's been over a decade since the last new Donkey Kong game? I'm worried that DK looking like he did in Donkey Kong '94 along with Nintendo suddenly making all DKC titles available on Switch could mean this is the last hurrah for Rare's DK. Also, I think this Mario Kart may be some sort of semi-reboot and just be called Mario Kart.
No, it looks like a doughnut with legs. Also Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the 9th Mario Kart game, Mario Kart Tour was the 10th, and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit was the 11th, so this next one will be Mario Kart 12
Could you imagine having to repair your kart after being hit too many times? That golden thing at the gas station reminds me of a pit stop, being called "Yoshi's" might mean it's a team of Yoshi's to pit crew the karts. Probably not, but it would be interesting 😂
8:17 ain't no way bro does not see this is a burger. chat did i just get baited? PS: I think maybe that fuel thing, if there is any interaction with the performance of your kart during a race besides coins, could be a boost thing. Maybe if your fuel/boost meeter is up using those golden cube/bag things, you get an increased boost when using boost panels or drifts, as indicated with that purple aura thing on mario. Perhaps that's why it was only shown on mario. (Tin foil type shi): maybe that's why nintendo made sure we saw the 1-up fuel thing on mario's kart, to kinda hint that mario has this boost meter maxed out, which is why his boost had an aura.
Lmao I thought the top bun was shaped like an apple but yeah that’s obviously a burger. Under the burger I saw a bit of a cone shape but I guess my brain malfunctioned there 🙃
@@NintendoBlackCrisis No stress bro but yeah I could see how you thought it was icecream but I deadass thought I was trippin when you said apple Edit: Okay MAYBE I could give you a pass with the top kinda looking a little bit like that stem on an apple but other than that, I want what you were taking
wonder if Nintendo is taking some inspo form Speedstorm and having pieces of the race track to race on. parts of the track could be really short, or maybe the whole entire track for maybe 1 lap. Idk... its gonna be a good time
Im guessing this one is going to be called 'mario kart 10' since it has a nice ring to it and would be a great start to a new system launch It fits if we consider tour to be 9 but then we would have to acknowledge tour 🤮
All the delusional Nintendo RUclipsrs out here right now is fn wild. Mario kart 9 is not announced, shown, let alone confirmed. This shit could be a tech demo for all you know, and all you guys out here screaming "confirmed". Calm the f down.
I don't know what kind of apples or ice cream cones you eat but that 8:20 is clearly a burger
No idea how I missed that but yeah it’s obviously a burger lol. Was looking at separate parts of it and trying to make connections to things

I'm glad others saw it lol. I was looking at those pictures thinking "what apple, where the apple?"
12 second teaser into 14 minutes lmao
I’m so proud of you
I should've figured you'd make a video on this. Excited to watch!!
The second I saw this notification it reminded me of when you used to stream speed trials in Mario Kart 8. Great to see you doing some more Mk content!
I didnt think there would ever be this much to cover on like 10 seconds on a game! honestly impressive!

Yikes
3:45 the track in the sign resembles a 9, kinda like the 8 was a shaped like a course MK8
I thought the same thing but haven't seen anyone talking about it! For some reason people consider Tour to be 9 but it's not. This is Mario Kart 9.
MK8=MK8
MK8D=MK9
MKT=MK10
MKLHC=MK11
This new one is Mario Kart 12
the mystery driver at 12:46 looks like a Lakitu
At 8:20 the left one is a burger and the right one my mother said resembles Taco del Mar. Take that for what you will. lol
Imma spend so much money on Nintendo this year

If I can even find a Switch 2 this year lol

I just hope the game isn't full of clones. Those need to be skins you can choose upon choosing the character, like you would with Yoshi.

So excited for this, I sent the Switch 2 reveal to my nephew and we spent almost all day texting back and forth about it
Coming back just in time for MK9 is of course perfect
5:11 There are open world racing games, take Midnight Club for example.
i *love* forza horizon which is another one
Yeah that’s why I added an image of forza 5 because apparently that’s open world?
@@NintendoBlackCrisis I've never played Forza, but if we don't get open world, I hope we at least get a hub world like in Crash Team Racing.
