OH MY STARs🤯...Where has that brownie edge pan been my whole life???? I ONLY like the edges so Yes I had to order it....Thanks Pat! Now you are not just a quilty enabler you're a BROWNIE LOVER ENABLER 😂😂😘😘!
My family thinks that my brownies are the best which makes me smile. When my son was a teenager our house was the place to be because I always made the guys brownies! Like you, I used to make mine from scratch but the box mix is even better! My secret ingredient is to sprinkle chocolate chips across the top before I put them into the oven to bake.
My family loves brownies too. The Pampered Chef sells a brownie pan that is similar to a cupcake pan except it has 12 individual square “cups” so each brownie has four sides of edges! It’s genius!
Brownies are always a popular thing in my house. Can't wait to get started on the Secret Lives of Color quilt. Got my book the other day. I wake up with you every morning. Before I even get out of bed I'm watching your videos. Thank you for all the time and energy you put into them. You're the best!!!
I love brownies. I normally make brownie cookies with salted caramel chips. YUM!!! I am not a walnut fan. Loved your brownie edge pan. What a great idea. Thanks!
Brownies are a favorite at our house too! Always made them from scratch when our children were young. A dusting of powdered sugar on top was always a must. Sometimes fudge frosting to make them even more decadent! Nuts always!! Chocolate chips too! Sometimes coconut. Our 6 children are now grown with families of their own. I do use mIxes often because I can afford them now. They take less time and our always delicious! Can't wait to start making the "Sweet Dreams" quilt. Thank you Pat. Take care!
Thank you for the information on your layout plans. It helps me to have an idea of where the blocks will be going and your plans for sashing and other blocks. I love brownies - my favorite are the chewy/fudge type. I'm looking forward to this quilt along.
Our family loves the middle of the brownies and start cutting there!! My secret is a generous splash of almond flavoring, no nuts please. Love the block and fabric you chose.
Brownies have always been a special desert in our house. As a child my mom would make them from scratch and they would disappear at dinner. I have tried to carry on my mom's tradition but today I am allergic to gluten. Brownies have been difficult to make until I found King Arthur's Gluten Free Fudge Brownie Mix. I add my own chocolate chips and they are delicious. Brownies are back to being a special desert in our house!
Isn't it strange how things often happen without know why? This evening I "needed" chocolate, so made some brownies. While they were baking I began watching your RUclips channel, and what did I find? Brownies!! Love 'em.
My sister in law made the best homemade fudgy brownies- but she never jazzed them up. I prefer my brownies made like fudge not cake like. But I do add dark chocolate chips, pecans or English walnuts, butterscotch chips & or a center of Carmel. Sometimes I add a dusting of powdered sugar over doilies to leave a design on top like a snowflake ❄️ for special seasons. Honestly though you can’t go wrong with any flavor brownie! I love it all!!
Brownies are my favorite dessert! I love the edges, too. I like the ready made mixes with chocolate chunks in the batter the best. No nuts. Dark chocolate is pretty yummy too. I use to make all mine from scratch, but as I have gotten older, the mixes are better.
Oh my goodness brownies are so loved by my 4 sons as well. As adults they live the additional walnuts. Grandsons also love them but they make them hyper
I love a good brownie, but unlike most people, I prefer the softer center ones rather than the crunchier ones on the edge. For Thanksgiving I made Brookies with chocolate chip cookie dough on the bottom of a muffin pan, then a layer of caramel (like Kraft single wrapped square caramels), topped with a boxed brownie mixture. I'll have to try the Ghiradelli mix next time, but on a diet for now! I have been interested in Moonstone fabric, long before I received information about Sweet Dreams. I hadn't purchased it yet due to extra expenses and trying to be a bit more frugal, but after seeing your first block, I am on to order the fabric right now!!! Beautiful. I need to do this sew-along.
I love dark chocolate fudge like brownies with chips. When using a mix, and Aldi’s brand brownies are delish, we add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Takes them up to a whole other level. If with frosting, homemade Cream cheese frosting, Bebe❣️☺️☺️☺️
I love the edges of the brownies. Must have walnuts and chocolate chips. Usually make my own from the recipe on the Hershey Cocoa powder container. One of my grandmothers favorite desserts to have on hand for us when we would visit. Always had ice cream with it. Lots of memories.
I love to make the box brownies, I eat the corners before I cut the brownies so when my husband comes into the kitchen because he smells the brownies the corners are already gone. I am so bad!!!!! hahaha I so enjoy your videos, you are my bright shining star each day.
I have always loved brownies of all kinds. One of my fonded memories about brownies is my grandmother's Blonde Brownies. I absolutely loved them! Of course, she happily shared the recipe with all of us. So I will never forget my first attempt at recreating her brownies! I baked them for the time that the recipe called for but when I looked at them, they didn't look done. Thinking that maybe my oven was not heating properly or something, I decided that I should add a little more baking time. When they appeared to be done, I removed them from the oven and Oh my goodness you would need a chisel to get through them. Had I attempted to bite them, they would have cracked my teeth!!! So for these brownies I learned to take them out even if they didn't look done!!!
I always add mini chocolate chips to any recipe😊 But if I make them for a mint lover, after they are baked, I immediately too with (unwrapped...) York mint patties, turn off the oven, and put the pan back in until the patties burst open😇 Cut with a plastic knife!
I love brownies, especially the cake brownies with walnuts. The center cut is my favorite. I taught at a rural school and one of our secretaries would always bring us brownies. They were the best.
I think I've become a quilt nerd if there is such a thing ! Every Wed morning I wake up then turn on my printer to get the latest sewalong pattern. And today's bonus was to think about brownes ! Love brownies and thanks Pat for telling me about the Ghiradelli mixes! And , yesterday got my copy of Secret Lives of Colour...2022 is already turning into a great year of quilting !!
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Home of “Ghirardelli chocolates”! Visited their chocolate factory too and was surrounded by everything chocolate! If you ever visit Frisco, check them out! Also a fan of their great brownie mixes and the triple chocolate is so delectably Delicious 😋 Love watching your RUclips videos daily and like the creativity you share with all. Cynthia
My granddaughter loves to make brownies, from a packet. My daughter however makes them from scratch, using organic ingredients. The packet ones taste better to me! Xx
Hi Pat as I sit here with 2 chihuahua's in my lap I had to tell you about my Son's they are 7 1/2 Part but you would think they were twins when it came to baked goods. for brownies i made them but when I put them in the pan I would separate the pan so one half had nuts and one had didn't 50 years later i still do this because my hubby doesn't like nuts and I do!!!!!!!!
We love brownies! I made them when my kids were young. I have a story. When I made them for the kids, I cut all around the edge of the pan because this was the “hard” part. I had no idea the kids would like them. I thought this was the worst part! And you have a pan to have the edges, which I thought was the worst! How funny is that. I did add walnuts when I had them, but one son didn’t like walnuts.
We love Brownies!!!! Also a family favorite. We do a lot of family camping in the summer with dutch oven cooking. And one we do several times and is a hit is brownies in the dutch oven. Then we top it with ice cream. I would say everyone loves the brownies more than any other desserts we make. How can you not like brownies :)
I also love the Ghirardelli’s brownie mixes. I get the box at Costco so I have it one hand all the time. Never know when it might call to me 😋. I love these fun quilts to make. I did summer soirée and just need to quilt it. It was so much fun.
I love brownies......Don't make them often but love that pan idea. Thank you for all you do for us. I did purchase this fabric and can't wait to get started making these blocks. Blizzard weather here this morning so it's a great day to sew....... Hugs from Minnesota
We don't have the box of brownies that you showed and I haven't ever seen the brownie pan either. Love brownies and most desserts. Wonderful video. Thank you from a very cold (-8) Wyoming for all the work you go to for us.
Pat, What a great gift today!! You are so special!! I have a homemade recipe that was my mother in-laws for making brownies. Even the chocolate frosting is from scratch! It's a challenge to make but well worth it!! We live in WI out in the country and we have walnut trees. So we always have fresh walnuts for our brownies! Love your pan!! Thank you again for another great sew-a-long!! Can't wait to start block #1!! Your the best and we all love you💕 Happy sewing!! Laurie
I’m so excited about this sew along Brownies 😋 my family enjoys edges too! I remember seeing that pan years ago. I definitely need to get one. I love to make chocolate chip brownies. It’s the best of both worlds, chocolate chip cookies 🍪 made into brownies! Thank you for your daily videos!
I have the Flurry bundle and all the supplies and pattern to make the sweater quilt for my son. Your block is gorgeous. I don't like brownies, but I will occasionally make them for my family, who does.
My mother made really different brownies from scratch. They were really light on the chocolate but very good. Used 6 eggs though. I like walnuts but really prefer pecans. I have challenged myself to only do the sew-a-long from by scrap bag or stash of bigger pieces. That's 2022 for me.
I love all kinds of brownies but my very favorite are crusty on the edges, fudgy, with chunky of chocolate and walnut chunks! And of course garidelle! Have a wonderful day!
I am known for my brownies and fudge. I make the brownies more often. I use the Betty Crocker Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix-it has a fabulous pouch of chocolate syrup in the box. I love pecans vs walnuts. I love the gooey inside not the edges! But oh so good. I have a box in the pantry - I may have to bake them this afternoon.
Brownies were the first thing I learned to make in 4-H. I still always use that recipe and it is the favorite of all my extended family. We made a family cookbook and it is a favorite in it too. I just love them. I may have to make a batch tomorrow.
I and my family love brownies. I start with a box mix of fudge brownies. Don't add nuts since we have nut allergies in the family. Your block came out beautiful.
Good Morning Pat, What beautiful fabrics you are using. I can't wait to start this quilt. Speaking of brownies, one of my friends made these wonderful brownies with a peanut butter filling with chopped peanuts and chocolate chips. They were my one Christmas indulgence. She gave me 4 and I savored 1 each day until 3 were gone. The 4th one I froze for later when I "Just have to have a brownie". Yes I love brownies. I haven't found one I didn't like yet. I love to bit into a the edge of a brownie with the chewy edge and then the center just kinda melts in your mouth. OH YUM!! Now I might have to get that last brownie out of the freezer and have it with a cup of coffee for breakfast. Have a wonderful day Pat. P.S. I'm ordering one of the brownie pans today.
I have always loved brownies. Get them right out of the oven and put ice cream on top and let it melt as you eat no need for milk. I love how you use different fabric line for your projects. I hope to get better in thinking out of the box for me.
Download our free block & enter for the goodie bag! www.ilovetomakequilts.com/2022/01/-sweet-dreams-block-1.html

Such a lovely quilt block! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, the stash and stores are super nice... everyone should have a couple of those!!!!
I love all brownies..walnuts are better than pecans to me. I watch your daily videos everyday. You are awesome..
My family loves brownies too. The Pampered Chef sells a brownie pan that is similar to a cupcake pan except it has 12 individual square “cups” so each brownie has four sides of edges! It’s genius!
I love all brownies - especially those those with walnuts and chocolate chips.
Edges, edges, edges are the BEST!! Brownies are my favorites. I like the with nuts and cherries. Thank you.
I love walnuts in my Brownies. The best way is warm with vanilla ice cream.
Thank you so much for showing how to cut the fabric. It makes more sense to me. 💝
I love adding about 1/8 teaspoon of finely ground black pepper. I call them grown up brownies 😊
I missed the live, darn it. Thanks Pat for the start of another great sal.
Brownies are always a popular thing in my house. Can't wait to get started on the Secret Lives of Color quilt. Got my book the other day. I wake up with you every morning. Your block is so pretty!
Never really liked brownies till i found a recipe for kahlua brownies now i make them all the time. Watch you every morning.
Love my step brother's brownies. He spreads peanutbutter when they are still warm and the pours a cooked chocolate frosting over them. Yummy!!

I love brownies loaded with walnuts. Especially with a cold glass milk!
Walnutty brownies are the best. With a fresh cup of hot coffee.
Completely agree with your approach to cutting fabric! I cut only what I need.
I don't like to waste fabric. I cut what I need. Brownies. Love brownies. Am heading over to see if I can purchase the pan. Great fun.
Thank you for the information on your layout plans. It helps me to have an idea of where the blocks will be going and your plans for sashing and other blocks. I love brownies - my favorite are the chewy/fudge type. I'm looking forward to this quilt along.
So happy that this project is not made with 12" blocks. I love the smaller blocks. Also, LOVE brownies!
Our family loves the middle of the brownies and start cutting there!! My secret is a generous splash of almond flavoring, no nuts please. Love the block and fabric you chose.
Oooo I will have to try the almond flavoring!!
Brownies have always been a special desert in our house. As a child my mom would make them from scratch and they would disappear at dinner. I have tried to carry on my mom's tradition but today I am allergic to gluten. Brownies have been difficult to make until I found

My first sew along, have some fabrics to sort and then I will be getting started. Thank you so much for sharing. I am new to quilting.
Yum. Brownies. Moist with crisp edges.

I'm with you on the cake-like, Ghirardelli brownies!
That block, the way you made it would be a gorgeous quilt, all the same! Love it! Can't wait to start!
Love brownies :) What's not to love.......chocolate and nuts, 2 of my top favorites combined :)
My sister in law made the best homemade fudgy brownies- but she never jazzed them up. I prefer my brownies made like fudge not cake like. Oh snow it’s time to sew, thank goodness for Pat, Lori & Kimberly!
Brownies are my favorite dessert! I love the edges, too. I like the ready made mixes with chocolate chunks in the batter the best. No nuts. Dark chocolate is pretty yummy too. I use to make all mine from scratch, but as I have gotten older, the mixes are better.
Love being frugal!
I love brownies! My favorite recipe has a layer of chocolate chips and caramel in them.

Hello from North Carolina
I love to make the box brownies, I eat the corners before I cut the brownies so when my husband comes into the kitchen because he smells the brownies the corners are already gone. I am so bad!!!!! hahaha I so enjoy your videos, you are my bright shining star each day.

I have never tried cutting that way, but I’m going to for this
I love brownies so much and my pan makes individual bite size brownies and they are all crispy around the edges. YUM-O!!
I think brownies need to have nits and mini chocolate chips. And this goodie bag would be so fun!
My first choice off a treat goodies tray. Love brownies
We love brownies at our house 🤎 with walnuts or without! Warm with ice cream too🍨!
Brownies are good, love the pan.
I always add mini chocolate chips to any recipe😊 But if I make them for a mint lover, after they are baked, I immediately too

Love brownies. We make a recipe called "devastating brownies" . I make them & give them away because I am a diabetic.
Thank you for sharing this quilt along. Brownies… YES! But chopped pecans, please. 😋
I love brownies. I make them from all kinds of things, even zucchini squash. My family loves them!

I prefer the "fudgy" kind of brownies... YUM! What a fun block this first block is... love your colorway!
My granddaughter loves to make brownies, from a packet. My daughter however makes them from scratch, using organic ingredients. The packet ones taste better to me! Xx
I appreciated the cutting tip! I was taught to always cut strips and then subcut! Good thing I buy TOO much for every sew along ;)

I just love the bow tie behind you. I will be making it after I finish a baby quilt. So many quilts so little time.
I love everything about that quilt too!! It’s on my to-do list!

Dark chocolate brownie mix then adding chocolate chips.
Love the gluten free brownies my daughter and I get at Barnes & Noble!

I love to make chocolate chip brownies. It’s the best of both worlds, chocolate chip cookies 🍪 made into brownies!
Thank you for your daily videos!
Wonderfull video dear.
I love brownies, but I don't care for walnuts in them. I am looking forward to doing the sewalong. This is the first time I have joined in.
I have the Flurry bundle and all the supplies and pattern to make the sweater quilt for my son. Your block is gorgeous. I don't like brownies, but I will occasionally make them for my family, who does.

I and my family love brownies. I start with a box mix of fudge brownies. Don't add nuts since we have nut allergies in the family. Your block came out beautiful.
Thank you, Pat for all your great videos.
I've probably been wasting fabric when I've been cutting. Thanks for tip
I’m a center of the pan Brownie fan. I like the fudgie type. I’ll leave the edges for others!
So pretty, I am loving this line! I did get the fat quarter bundle but now I have a bad cold so I won't be starting it right away. It is beautiful!
Good Morning Pat,
What beautiful fabrics you are using.
Love brownies except the crust/edge!!! Remember making them for the county fair for 4H. No mixes-from scratch. So many years ago!
I have always loved brownies. Get them right out of the oven and put ice cream on top and let it melt as you eat no need for milk. I love how you use different fabric line for your projects. I hope to get better in thinking out of the box for me.
