Many can write a damn harem but I really appreciate when there is a decent and likable number of male members than don’t just feel they’re there to state the awesomeness of the mc
Kyousuke: Has been in a coma for months because of bus crash. Proceeds to make his first appearance with a dangerous rope climbing window entrance. lol They also forgot to mention that he was released from hospital a month earlier, but didn't tell anyone so he could surprise them with his drivers license XD
Hikaru Midorikawa, a veteran seiyuu whose voice we know is quite legendary. More prominent roles of his include Rukawa Kaede from Slam Dunk, Hero Yuy from Gundam Wing, Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi and Lancer from Fate/Zero
I've watched both Clannad and LB and played the two visual novels and I can say that LB is far on another level. I loved them both but LB has become part of my heart. It's something more than a VN, it's a masterpiece. Of course Clannad is a masterpiece too but it isn't as deep as LB. LB is an unbreakable mark of friendship, an amazing story that digged far deeper into me. I'll never forget it. Never 'till I die. Little Busters are forever!
To sum it up really tightly... Refrain. Feels. And most importantly the PERFECT structure of it all. Refrain makes up for the fairly mediocre heroine routes and give a sense of all Little Busters. It really is a brilliant structure. Of course I'm talking about the VN. The anime of the heroines route is awful and only Refrain is acceptable
Honestly the heroine routes were decent, I felt them on the same level of most of Clannad's average routes. Clannad just gets more praise because the good routes were just THAT good. But if you compare both games well, Refrain is just much better structured than Clannad could ever hope to be because it ties the whole game together into one narrative, instead of leaving everything scattered like Clannad and actually makes the ending work within it's own narrative instead of feeling like a cop out. I can go back and Play Little Busters and enjoy it still, which is something I just can't do with Clannad anymore. Only the Clannad anime has held the pass of time decently enough. The less said about the abomination that was Rewrite the better though.
As much of an ending as we get yes. EX's Sasami and Kanata routes both canonically happen after the ending of Little Busters. Kud Wafter also happens as a "what-if" scenario that occurs right after the ending of Little Busters.
well i would say either kanata, sasami, or kurugaya alt ending are the real ends. i like to believe riki ends up with kurugaya because it solves her problem like the other girls and wraps up all the loose ends
So,i already end this great anime and i glad how this anime ends. But i have only several question that still left unanswered... 1)In what episode did the alternate world is created? Is it from the whole beginning or just from the end of season 1? 2)If Komari-chan know that she live in alternate world and already walkthrough the timeline until the accident moment, did her snap moment in episode 4 is just a complete lie or what? 3)Did Kyousuke create a new world in same day they were in bus accident and time stop or he reverse all the time back from when he returned and till the moment he knew Riki had matured and loop the time to the day of accident?
Sorry for the bad english but I will try to response you. 1 ) The anime already starts on the world,so is created from the beginning in the season 1. 2 ) The alternate world carries all the injury and trauma of the characters, so komari live throught your past in this world. 3 ) The world is created in the same time after bus accident and ''stop'' the time, so in a few moments all the anime occurs and Riki and Rin awakens after the accident.
Matheus Nishioka Ohh,so when they are accident,Kyousuke got the power to stop the time and create an alternate world with other member that involved too. But i dont understand one,did the komari-chan know from the beginning that this world is a fake and they are already accident ?
Hirasawa Yui Probably in the beginning only Kyousuke , Kengo and Masato know about the accident, and in the course of the time other members remember the accident, like Kud before the travel to Tebwa.
That said not all the heroine routes are literally events that happened. Kud's events are basically her wish to be punished for not being with her mother when she died. She had a piece of her destroyed spacerocket after all, and that was BEFORE the rocket exploded in the events of the anime/VN. The whole being captured by rebels is also a fictional event that came to existence by Kud's wish to be punished which Kyousuke intervened and stopped due to Riki's earnest desire to save her. It's easier to remember events in the story happen because of the character's regrets and desires and Kyousuke's direct control to ensure no one's minds are destroyed in the process. Hence why miraculous events sometimes happen. The only girl who knows how to manipulate the dream world is Kurugaya, or at the very least learns how to manipulate it. It is shown throughout the VN (and someparts of the anime I believe) that she uses her control over it to basically teleport around the school and thus her route is used as the first clue that something is weird about the world.
In the VN if you play through it till the end of Refrain (you need to clear all girls routes beforehand, Rin's even twice xD) and you play Kurugaya's route once more, you get a secret ending for her. In this ending you see her sitting on a chair in a classroom waiting for Riki to come back. In that moment the classroom door opens and Riki comes in and Kurugaya says to him that she loves him and the ending credits roll ;-) This ending is actually really hard to fit into the story; as it only happens after you cleared Refrain, it is implied that it happens afterwards but Refrain itself implies that Riki and Rin come together so nobody really knows how to interpret it :P
That ending is basically not canon. It was there just to please people who felt Kurugaya's route was incomplete (which it was, Kurugaya never had a proper closure like the rest of the Little Busters, the end of her route is literally the world fighting back against her meddling so that Riki can escape her closed loop). And it's a little funny because Saya's route is similar in a way, a girlwho is meddling in the mental world and thus the world tries to stop her, but unlike Kurugaya she gets closure. But yeah, I think it's more or less confirmed that Kurugaya's bonus ending is just an easter egg for people who like her and the canon pairing this time around is Riki/Rin.
GUYS I HATE TO RUIN THE MOOD, BUT... This ending is ambiguous. We don't really know if this is the real world, or a world Riki made to be with his friends...
Hikari Yagami that's the point. I personally think it's in the fake world because they go back into the fake world (after getting out) to save everybody. Although, I haven't watched the show or played the VN. I'm just getting my information from the wiki. (Meaning if I'm wrong, then I'm sorry.) but, I would LOVE for something (that's canon) to prove me wrong.
greenrover10 I think that's wrong, I just played the vn (converted edition) just now and I confirm it's after the bus crash. Kud Wafter is the one that is in a fake world.
In postcanon sound drama ("Bokura" no Asa), Riki fears that all this may be a continuation of the fake world, but Kyousuke convinces him that this is not a dream.
The EX routes have more or less solidified in a way the idea that this is the real world. Not only that but they answer the question that was even more ambiguous which was the subject of their post Refrain memories (answer: they remember getting over their traumas, but they don't truly retain their romantic memories with Riki... just a lingering attachment). Also, Kud Wafter is a "what-if" scenario that also operates under the assumption that it's the real world. Imay also add that the idea that everything remained a "dream" would run counter to the true goal of the entire VN. Kyosuke didn't want them to "run away" from the truth. The entire show is about Riki and Rin streghtening their hearts so that they can face the truth of the bus crash. If Riki and RIn just create a false world to hide right back inside, then the entire story would have been meaningless because the reality that everyone was near death would not have changed. Yes, the fact that they save everyone is cheesy and too optimistic perhaps, but choosing the alternative would just destroy the entire premise of the story.
I absolutely love Little Busters, but I hated this ending. Odds are at least 1 person would have been killed in the bus crash while it was rolling down the hill for one, and then they pulled that crap where Riki was somehow to magically get over his narcolepsy and get a second chance to save everyone with Rin. The true ending for me is the one where only Rin and Riki make it out alive.
People HAVE survived car crashes, it's ussually how fast they can be brought to a hospital which sometimes matters most. Is it incredibly optimistic they were all alive? Yes. But they also made it a point that everyone was alive when the dream world "begins". The possibility of surviving existed. As for the narcolepsy that one is truly the kicker which you have to be willing to accept more. That said I always felt like his narcolepsy was not the one commonly associated to genetics but instead anxiety and depression. In fact it is confirmed in-game that his narcolepsy began after the death of his parents and his subsequent depression. Heck, in the real world his narcolepsy kicks right in as soon as he starts panicking about the bus crash and tries to help the others. So if his narcolepsy is caused by traumatic events, he could theoretically use the dream world to "deal with his past" in the same manner Kyosuke used the dream world to improve his courage by helping others. Basically, for the last one, don't think of it as if he "cured his narcolepsy magically" but instead that he "dealt with his past", clearing up whatever it was that caused the narcolepsy to begin with.
