Thanks again for the video Dan, I've started doing more hybrid shoots. Using my Sony a7iii plus a GoPro on the drummer. I have a few shows this week going to try to apply the tips to my local ones!
When setting up multiple static shots, have you ever had problems with trying to find a good place to set up a wide shot of the stage? I'm always worried that if I leave a camera unattended in the balcony an audience member might mess with the camera.
I did do for a while yes but I ended up finding a travel tripod that goes high enough to view over the punters' heads. I just pop it at front of house now with a wide angle lens. Also a gopro on a magic arm & clamps attached to a mic stand is a good way to get around it!
I found that doing video for everything then pulling screen grabs for "photos" has been working pretty well for me recently

Awesome stuff!! It's definitely more challenging having to split your mind as a hybrid shooter but I find it so much more fun! Good luck!
I’m enjoying your videos. You got a new Sub. Keep up the great work 📸🤘
Thank you so much! And welcome aboard!
