I haven't had Chocolate Ripples in years! My grandmother made the best chocolate trifle using them every time we visited - brings back a lot of memories!!
hey i really appreciate this video! i am moving to aus in about a month from the US, and although i already know a few vegan folks in the area im moving to, it's comforting to know what grocery store options there are for me :)
oh I haven't tried the Fropro range before. Thanks for the tip! And here's the granola: www.thatvegandad.net/snacks/vegan-homemade-granola?rq=granola 🙌😃
I don't know if you have a cheaper by miles near you, but they have vegan cheese for like $2! Plus heaps of other vegan goodies for cheap. Its worth the trip.
Wow! I'm getting my Jack Higgs mixed up with my Jack Rock! Vegan all over! I tried the Birds Eye Lamb Greek Style Strips or whatever they are called... I thought it was like herbed chewing gum with the taste of a thousand greases. Maybe I did it wrong but I suspect the further away I get from viewing meat as food, the less i want meat replacements. I bought that Beyond Mince and it looked so real I threw it out in suspicion. It looked too much like meat to want anything to do with. Love your channel ❤️ 💕
All the vegan Jacks haha Agreed about the Beyond mince. Honestly, if you didn't know it was Beyond it would fool almost anyone imo! It even 'bleeds' and has the juiciness of meat. It's unreal what some brands can create with vegetable based products though.
True... It's probably a lot of chemicals and additives. Definitely not something I'd be wanting to consume regularly. It's still fantastic to have an option that is much more cruelty free and helps those people wanting meat like products to transition to a vegan lifestyle :)
Love Massel brand, they are all actually vegan. Also, what the with the ice creams being unavailable? I can still get vegan magnums and the greenbacks (don’t like the greenbacks tho) , but I do love the gaytimes! Smiths sent me a list of all the vegan products and Burger Rings were definitely vegan! A good way to tell as well that a product is vegan, as it will contain no cholesterol. So if it’s 0 cholesterol, it’s most likely vegan - unless it contains honey, as that is also 0 cholesterol 😊
Thanks for the epic vegan information!! I wasn't 100% sure on the massel range, but now I know :) And what an incredible tip for searching for accidentally vegan products! 😃🙌
Can’t believe they flooded the market with nuggets and then they pull the best ones 🤦🏻♀️ I haven’t tried the plantitude or impossible nuggets yet haven’t been able to find them 🙄 jack I’ll be interested in your v2 sausage review…I can’t deal with them 🤣 I used to be team plantein for schnitzel but v2 schnitzel all the way now for me. Guess we are lucky to have options 😂 oh and I’m bummed I can’t find the plain sheese cream cheese at coles or woolies anymore, I have heard they are at independent grocers…it’s so much better than tofutti cream cheese for tiramisu and carrot cake icing 😋 it’s so annoying when you find a product you love and then it’s either deleted or difficult to find 😒 ps the souvlakis and your tzatziki is yum!
Oh what a time to be vegan... too many options hahaha But I also agree that the Australian vegan market is a bit all over the place at the moment with getting rid of popular products and replacing them with nothing... :( The tzatziki was a MASSIVE hit today!
To be honest... I don't really rate Bonsoy 😖 It's a great option in a coffee (I don't really drink coffee much these days), but as a drinking soy milk... I didn't rate it. I'm definitely the weird one, because people say it's the best of everything! lol
@Jack Rock - That Vegan Dad oh yeah bonsoy is the best - but I drink Bonsoy Almond so it might be different between Almond milk and soy milk quality. 💖
If something “contains an animal product” (like dairy) it is not “Vegan” May contain is still vegan friendly but not contain. This video is misleading but if you think eating something containing dairy 🥛 “is Vegan” then good for you (each to their own) but I always read all the ingredients and if it states contains dairy or egg 🥚 definitely I am not interested. I am also gluten-free as well and definitely have to be very careful.
Love these vids! I'm from Aus, so it's nice seeing what is available in terms of vegan products. I'm only vegetarian myself at the moment.
It's definitely great to see more vegetarian and vegan options becoming available in Australia 😃🙌
I love plantain 😋😋😋😋😋😋
Fake synthetic industrial crap
Appreciate you doing these videos my friend. Love seeing what’s available. Gonna go shopping now myself, thanks vegan dad!
Any time! :)
Love to see how you make your vegan nachos loved the haul 🌱🥗🍎🍌🥕🍓
Here's the current go-to using TVP: www.thatvegandad.net/main-meals/recipe-vegan-nachos-tvp
I hope you try it out :)
I worked in a bakery for a few years. Hot Cross buns are fruit toast in bun shape. Lol

They are seriously so underrated imo
@@JackRockThatVeganDad Agreed!
Hello you mentioned Aldi. Any review on Aldi items would be good, just a thought. Thank you Jack.
Another great vegan grocery haul 🌱🌱🌱🌱😄😄
Thank you!! 😊
I saw the Birdseye chickn strips on special this week, bulk binge bought 6 packs haha
Hahaha Nice choice!! 😅👏

There's some great options available now in Australia, you'll love it :)
What a great haul! Love it!! 🙌🏻
Sheese cheese slices are the best I got them for NYE, best vegan cheese.
Yeah, I find the Sheese range pretty flavoursome and well worth it, especially when they are on special!
@@JackRockThatVeganDad Yeah I was so lucky to get it on special, it tasted just like the dairy ones.
Have you ever done a recipe video for how you use those udon noodles? I make a mean Japanese style noodle soup sort of thing
Not yet, but I definitely should. And that sounds delicious mate. I love noodle soups! Definitely keen to hear the recipe if you've got one.
Fropro brand has some vegan ice creams available at Woolworths also can you please add your Granola recipe? Thanks in advance.

Didn't know they had vegan golden gaytimes, cream cheese, jelly beans and condensed milk. What a find!

@Jack Rock - That Vegan Dad do you think its just vegetables though? Idk. But I'm very sus.
@Jack Rock - That Vegan Dad not vegan Jack's... Jacked Vegans lol

I have had to stop buying massel. I actually want proper chicken stock.
@@gloriaharbridge4986 all I read is “I had to start contributing to animal cruelty, even though I know there are other options available”

No vegan magnums any more?
Why don't you make your own chocolate pots instead of waiting for them to be on special once in a blue moon?
What a huge amount of processed foods.
“Plant based” meaning manufacturing plant with industrial buildings and smoke stacks. LOL
