Great review! It's a fabulous entry level bike that outperforms a few bikes in the next price range. It has relaxed geometry which means you're riding position is more vertical (in comparison to the more horizontal/hunched over position that professional and serious riders employ) which means that your back, shoulders, and neck are going to thank you if you're new to the sport. The one downside is the no-name brakes which don't have a lot of stopping power--I've had to replace my break pads a few times--but it's not a huge issue so long as your ride safe and stay within your comfort level.
Nice. I have a giant roam and I'm thinking of upgrading to something more durable. I ride my bike a minimum of 2 hours a day in the spring, summer, and fall and it's a lot of stress to put on that kind of bike.
Vegan Gains yeah I'd like to upgrade eventually but figure this one will get me through my first couple of years at least, especially now that I'm not riding it during the winter being back in Canada.
Thanks for the down to earth review. I am looking for bikes now, and looked at Bushtakah here in Ottawa and still can't decide between Trek1.1 and Trek1.2 And yes, the 1.2 is about 1000 CAD plus Tax, the 1.1 is about 800$. There is also the option of a second-hand but you scared me a bit about it
It's a road bike, which I would personally recommend because you can move very fast on them in comparison to other bikes. They do take a bit of getting used to though. The seat takes some getting used to as well, definitely invest in some padded shorts and you will get used to it overtime.
i have a 2.1 and i love it,was like to buy a 1.2 now but the shimano soara from this model where comes the cables out of the body is the most worst and ugly ever.but the pure bike is nice.
I have been considering biking, but had no idea where to start. This was so helpful! Thank you so much!
Just A Murmur that's awesome very happy it helped:)

Why is this bike not on the Trek website? :(
Hi, Im shopping for bikes and it has been overwhelming. Hybrid, beach cruiser or road bike? How comfortable is the seat? Thank you!

That bike is purely beautiful. But that pouch, really doesn't do this bike justice.
Nice colors
Good video
