    Hi, being jealous from Germany :c
    I would really like to see that kind of competition in the high-speed-train sector here, but Deutsche Bahn just has the monopoly on that.

    IMHO, the trains in Spain are quite punctual. At this moment though, the track maintenance company, ADIF, is doing a lot of track work on the Seville - Madrid line, so both AVE and IRYO cannot do anything about that, apart from waiting for the signal to proceed or not. When I was buying a ticket recently online, the Renfe site consistently warned about the possibility of being late, at every single departure, which I thought was very fair.
