4:10 you should claim desmond last. This allows you to role the chance of claim duchy event while claiming te counties of leinster, also this buys time for your culture to progress allowing you to obtain Desmond via de jure conquest
What an excellent tutorial. Exactly the kind of content I need to progress beyond the basic understanding of the game and systems. Lots of levers to pull and this helps explain which levers do what and why.
i´m a big fan of republic vassals in iberia so i would just like to mention that if combine metropolitan rank 3 dynasty legacy with republican legacy tradition base tax contribution actually becomes 45%. Another thing that is rarely mentioned is that with lay clergy republican rulers become capable of directly holding all types of holdings (only vassal type that can do this) meaning you can completely remove the middle man (not sure how the math pans out if you compare it with theocratic vassals)
Great tips! Iberia republics definitely make one rich! Lay clergy makes vassals behave the same as your default government type. So that's why my recommendation was unless you're trying to min-max vassal taxes or use lay clergy for specific reasons, theocratic will provide you 50%/100% levies for the easy to fulfill condition of 50 realm priest opinion versus feudal/clan vassals you need to specifically get perks/traditions for more taxes.
@@breadgodgamingJust started playing and I noticed kingdom and empire title lands can be assimilated into one title. My question is how do I create a new kingdom or empire title split from the title that assimilated the title I wanted.

Excellent and comprehensive. Your hard work in making these videos is much appreciated. I'm not sure if this has been covered in another video, but does anyone know how the prestige/fame awarded from winning battles works? What sorts of battles give which and whether it goes to the commander of the army or the liege? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your kind words :) --Devotion/Piety is awarded if the enemy army's liege has a evil/hostile faith compared to you. Otherwise only fame/prestige is awarded --In an active war, if you are the war leader, you gain fame/devotion against enemy armies (red color) --In an active war, if you are an ally and not a war leader, you gain only contribution when fighting with your war leader ally. However, if you fought an enemy army by yourself and no one else helped, you gain prestige/piety. So a way to farm some prestige/piety is to be allied to someone who always need help and to fight their enemies by yourself --against hostile armies (orange color), like raiders/raider defenders or other armies that are fighting for the same thing (like you and person A are claiming person B's title at the same time) you gain prestige/piety when destroying these hostile armies --Commanders don't gain anything unless they are the relevant war leader / ruler. If they're your knight/commander only then they don't get anything (slightly related: accolade knights gain exp for kills) --The amount of prestige/fame and piety/devotion gained depends on the amount of enemy troops you have killed. The more you kill, the more resources you get. I can't 100% confirm if you get more from fighting while being outnumbered so I'll have to get back to you on that. The prestige gained can be doubled by the pillage dynasty perk from the Northern Lord DLC. hope this answers your question!
I really enjoy your videos! It would be great if you uploaded more gameplay videos. Even uncut is perfectly fine! Hope to see more stuff from you. Keep up the good work!

A little bit advice. Your steward development growth task, its existing development penalty are based on steward culture. Let say you play with culture that doesnt have public work, it will be best if you have steward with one culture that have public works In late game when you have a more advance culture, make sure your steward with correct culture.
In my playthrough, RE plague resistance I've just had my court physician performing the relevant task whenever there is an infection spreading and it kinda just makes plague mostly a non event
i nearly always build blacksmith in every of my domain. with 6 slots they gives not only quite good income boost, but mostly they increase knight efficiency. its double profit.
Hi BreadGod, your video themes and ideas are really correlating with mine, wanted to ask out of curiosity if you used some of mine conceptions (cause mine are sooner)? And do you maybe want to do some collab
Hi godipp, it's my first time hearing of you and I don't speak your language so I would never be able to see your content. One easy example is, for the english language, there is no other plague guide or legitimacy guide video other than the ones I've created. I thought it was a great market opportunity and pursued that. I don't believe in copying video ideas, but there may be just general overlap since anyone can have their version of X tutorial or X playthrough. In general, however, I make my content ideas based on what I want to do / direct requests from the comments of my viewers. I appreciate your offer to do a collab, but at the moment I am just too busy with a big list of unfinished videos, so I'm sorry for now
I thought i had the economics of this game figured out but i still have so to learn! Also, would you make a video/already made a video about the different government types? The special building in Venice is disabled for me and the game keep saying it needs a republican government type, but i have no idea how to do it. The bonuses from that building is just reduction in cost of feasts held there, but its just so frustrating having it the disabled buildings tab for so long
A republican government type needs to be held by a vassal, grant away the city holding and the building will become available! You should only ever hold castle holdings personally, and sometimes temples as well if you have the specific faith requirements, hope this helps :)
exactly as barnabypaterson5104 said! Although you can 'hold' the city titles, you can't gain any taxes from them. Instead, you have to grant it to someone so they can run it for you. Unfortunately, there are a lot of these special buildings that cannot be used by the player, currently. It still benefits you indirectly if you appoint a dynasty member as the ruler since a lot of those buildings give bonus renown which stacks for you.
Wait, hold on. Did they patch my favorite fundraising technique? I made absolute bank abducting realm priests (via plot) and then banishing them for their gold. Unfortunately if they're a foreign realm priest, you have to recruit them first and imprison them a second time, but it was usually worth it. Rulers were usually too difficult to abduct, so realm priests were the next best thing, as non-rulers who often had 3-digit sums of gold on hand.
Yea since patch 1.7 they mostly patched it, if you imprison (directly or abdcution) a realm priest, the gold will just transfer to the new one. But, so far, the only work around is if you have a temporal, revocable realm priest you can appoint a new realm priest and imprison/banish the old priest who will retain the gold
Thanks for your continued support! I will do a separate guide on admin government, but I'm going to wait for the next patch in case they make some big changes to it :)

There's a lot of random events that can fire that will give people (including you) a random claim to a nearby title(s). If you also have a bad chancellor, this can fire a random event that will give a nearby ruler a claim on your title(s). The fabricate claim task with the ruler's chaplain is really common so it's tough to prevent that completely.
