When Rachel sits out everyone have the chance to shine. I hear basically everybody's voice in this sectionals. Tina and Quinn are two underrated voices. Yes, we love Santana, Mercedes and Rachel but sometimes we kinda forget about Tina and Quinn and they deserve so much more.
Even though I'm not completely sure what it means, "You smell like Craigslist" is one of the funniest burns ever. Also, I love when you catch Naya's real smile in a scene. I was so happy when Sam came back to the show.
Tina was the MVP on this episode!!!! I'm really excited for you to see an episode in this season that she is the focus... one of best and most funny episode of the series
I really love this episode. The Jackson medley was amazing. Mike/Tina moments beautiful. Message about holding on to being young while you can is so true. Just a great to all around.
I’m with you Jay, Tina is the MVP for this episode, she got the best storyline and plenty amount of focus and singing time ❤️ Kind of ironic even though her storyline revolves around Mike, she really overshadow him and her voice in ABC is just chef kiss
Like all competition episodes this one is all about the performances. And although I love New Direction's Jackson set list, the Troubletone's should have won. Also Kurt saying Sebastian has CW hair is hilariously ironic now.
i like them in theory but amber and chord have no chemistry especially compared to him and dianna (which is why chord was originally going to be kurts LI but ryan changed it to quinn) i wanted to like a mercedes ship SO BAD but unlike the rest of glee club who dated everyone, mercedes has like two love interests i don't like puck but she did have some chemistry there but it was literally only one episode they shafted her so bad in that department because she's a top 3 character for me but i can't ship her with anyone and sure, i guess you can say 'just like her and sam' but i don't lol, i wish i did but i don't i just don't see the chemistry with it that's why i say 'in theory' it could be good because on paper it is (though i won't say it's all sunshine and roses) but i don't FEEL it
@@nightfrost1891 hm, no i totally get what you mean. i honestly think it doesn’t have to do with amber and chord as actors, but the writing of samcedes was horrible especially in season 5. they could have explored it further bc they were one of VERY FEW couples that didn’t get on my nerves, but the writers remembered its the rachel show and there’s no time for anyone else. i think out of all the girls sam dated he loved mercedes the most, and truly saw her as a star and helped her achieve her goals when she was always looked over and underestimated compared to rachel. also, they are the only (or one of the only) interracial couples on the show is really refreshing to see. in the last episode they actually got back together in the end, but ryan cut it to have more screen time for lea. but overall sams most forced relationships were definitely brittney (since all of a sudden they made sam dumb in s4) and rachel, which i pretend never happened lol
She got the worst storyline in this season (I do like the skank storyline as Quinn actually looks hot in her skank phase 😂) . The writer really destroyed her character but luckily Diana’s performance safe the character for me
While I get it, Rachel is the main star of the show/choir so it's normal for a plot of ~other members feeling annoyed when Rachel gets more~ happens, this whole plot just never felt right with me. Mercedes and Santana have so much to do and to sing on this show so it irks me that the plot of "this is NOT the Rachel show, we never get the spotlight!!!" goes to them when QUINN AND TINA EXIST. I couldn't take this whole plot seriously because the entire time I was thinking "Quinn didn't even get a single solo last season!" and "Tina got one on S2 who was cut after 20 seconds of performance because of course she has to be the butt of the ~look it's Tina she's ignored by the writters~ joke". Quinn and Tina together on both S1 and S2 have way less songs than Mercedes on S1 alone... And Santana was only turned into a main character way later, on S2 and has already surpassed them in songs and plot relevance... So... Yeah. Sorry but these 2 being portrayed as neglected never worked on me when Quinn/Tina are right there. Especially when we see that the Troubletones performances are pretty much Mercedes and Santana singing 90%, Britt singing 9% and Sugar singing 1% + 8 background dancers who pretty much don't exist. Like, this was supossed to be more varied than ND and a criticism on how Will arranges who gets to sing on each competition? To me it failed. Of course the TT performances are pretty good tho, and I do love me some drama, but still, to make a plot of ~the way Rachel gets more is unfair, so let's CONTINUE to ignore the two actresses who actually get less and instead let's focus on two who actually do quite a lot, just less than Lea~ just made me roll my eyes most of the time. At least it's really funny how it turns out that Tina and Quinn kinda lead parts of this episode (when the split finally ends) in both musical and plot moments. LOL (this does not excuse the writters for making Quinn and Tina so neglected tho!!! They deserve so much more) Also, it's so funny how we go from "we can't even compete without Sam coming back and band members joining" to "NOW WE HAVE 15 MEMBERS". It's the biggest ND has been! So expect really exciting episodes now that their family has reunited and gotten bigger!
Santana took over TT from Mercedes even and then at Regionals Santana gets the TT song and is featured in the ND group song. Santana actually was featured in every competition except 1.
love how the writers tried to make quinn out as 'psychotic' for outing a student/teacher relationship which is totally inappropriate and abuse of power????? i get she wasn't doing it for the right reasons but it literally doesn't matter because what shelby did (even if he is ~of age~) is disgusting a deserves to be fired and put on file the writers hate her so much how did they think this storyline was a serve in any way? the best stuff was with quinn and sam/quinn and rachel
Well said. Tina and Quinn actually shines in this episode. They got the storyline and they got plenty amount of singing time
Artie too, he was amazing male vocalist too, but Finn and Blaine didn't let him shine in the first seasons.
they didn't sell.
specially Tina cause she got pipes
Troubletones was robbed, New Direction lost their powerhouse vocalists but I’m happy for Tina!!❤
Your reactions to Red Solo Cup and to Santana's welcome speech to Sam was so gold 😂😂😂
What I like about this episode is ABC performance, finally my girl Tina got some kind of spotlight as she sings the most in that song 🙌🏽
FINALLY someone who can appreciate Tina ❤
Queen T supermacy ❤️
Preach
I remember when this episode came out in 2011, i was 16 at that time and i did cry a lot with We are young number.
I still cry watching it😂
6:08 "You can take the Sam out of Kentucky but you can't take the Kentucky out of Sam" LMAO😂
I really love this episode. The Jackson medley was amazing. Mike/Tina moments beautiful. Message about holding on to being young while you can is so true. Just a great to all around.
the troubletones losing was a CRIME
Agree
Press charges somebody!
Blaine had no problem when it was time to do a sexy performance when he thought that was the theme last season 😂😂😂
I’m with you Jay, Tina is the MVP for this episode, she got the best storyline and plenty amount of focus and singing time ❤️ Kind of ironic even though her storyline revolves around Mike, she really overshadow him and her voice in ABC is just chef kiss
Artie is PERFECT for MJ songs
Troubletones deserved to win, but for me ABC is so much fun and I love that Tina gets to shine.
Tina deserve those spotlight to be honest
Like all competition episodes this one is all about the performances. And although I love New Direction's Jackson set list, the Troubletone's should have won. Also Kurt saying Sebastian has CW hair is hilariously ironic now.
Man in the mirror was so good
glee is my fav reactions of yours!!
Justice for Tina!!!
the Troubletones losing is very unrealistic
Thats so true
To this day I still don’t know how the NDs got 3 songs and TTS and Unitards only got 1.
Good luck with the drama coming soon. I do love ABC also the next episode is pretty good.
I miss Cory's voice so much. It was magical 😭😭😭
They did Mike so dirty this episode
sam and mercedes are the best couple
Agree
i like them in theory but amber and chord have no chemistry especially compared to him and dianna (which is why chord was originally going to be kurts LI but ryan changed it to quinn)
i wanted to like a mercedes ship SO BAD but unlike the rest of glee club who dated everyone, mercedes has like two love interests
i don't like puck but she did have some chemistry there but it was literally only one episode
they shafted her so bad in that department because she's a top 3 character for me but i can't ship her with anyone
and sure, i guess you can say 'just like her and sam' but i don't lol, i wish i did but i don't i just don't see the chemistry with it that's why i say 'in theory' it could be good because on paper it is (though i won't say it's all sunshine and roses) but i don't FEEL it

Quinn is a mess

I love how Jay said that Tina is the MVP for this episode 💯❤️
Santana took over TT from Mercedes even and then at Regionals Santana gets the TT song and is featured in the ND group song. Santana actually was featured in every competition except 1.
Technically Tina, Quinn and Santana actually got recognition in competition. Mercedes NEVER did.
Quinn is just awesome❤️❤️
Even though I love Glee, this is not related to it. Who's seeing Journey to Bethlehem when it comes in theaters November 10th of this year?
Next doctor who please 🙏🏻
love how the writers tried to make quinn out as 'psychotic' for outing a student/teacher relationship which is totally inappropriate and abuse of power?????
i get she wasn't doing it for the right reasons but it literally doesn't matter because what shelby did (even if he is ~of age~) is disgusting a deserves to be fired and put on file
the writers hate her so much
how did they think this storyline was a serve in any way?
the best stuff was with quinn and sam/quinn and rachel
Tina + Mike also have many great scene on this episode too
