Japan Airlines First Class 777 Chicago to Tokyo Narita

- With the outbreak of Coronavirus and the resulting travel restrictions, it not a great time for a lot of travel channels (and travel industry in particular). I wanted to plan a trip with Garuda Indonesia and Malaysia Airlines however positioning for these flights would require visiting Europe or East Asia. There are still videos I have been working on from prior travels and are in the process of posting them. In the meantime, stay safe and wash your hands.
My wife's first overseas trip with me was on this route. I had finished a job in New Orleans which is near where we live. Had to meet up with a new employer in Japan. Purposely booked New Orleans/Chicago Economy class. She had no idea it was first class to Tokyo, paid for by my next employer. She was more than amazed. She now works with me and separately at times. Part of her contract is, all overseas flights are first class.

It's recommended to book 1st class ex-Tokyo on the Japanese carriers, as the food catering & experience can almost never be matched out of a non-hub airport.
The switch from Wagyu to Angus beef illustrates this point perfectly.

Great take off vision and sound...and yes I can hear the rattle...at least you know where its coming from !!! In First ALWAYS take the French option...magnificent !! The Japanese carriers are world class...they just "get it "with food and service and seating in all classes. The food looked delicious !! Great review as always and I wish you luck and good health over the coming months...it is a bit of a mess at the moment around the world!! Well done and take care !!
I like Japan Airline. I returned to Hong Kong several times from Honolulu, I took Japan Airline. The transit airport was Narita.
this is going to be my first First class flight ever. I have been flying sense a baby (15 years) and I am very excited to fly with Japan airlines.

Polaris Lounge > Flagship lounge any day any time. Call me biased if you will as I’m primarily a United/*A flyer, but having been to both in multiple locations, the Polaris lounges are way better.
The food seems better too
Asia Travels 100%. Flagship lounge buffet has a great spread, but it doesn’t match Polaris restaurant or Polaris buffet. Haven’t had a chance to try flagship first dining, and I definitely intend to, so hopefully this virus can slow down a bit.

Yeah it was not wagyu this time, maybe there was some limitations in catering. It didn't taste like wagyu to me either.
most likely angus beef because it’s a flight departing from america. if it’s departing from japan it is usually wagyu beef
