Yes, at this price point (-50%) and Play Anywhere support it's no-brainer. I'm on Series X and this release is just the excuse I needed to go back and replay Death Stranding, I finished it back in the PS4 days and loved it. It's awesome that I can play it again on my Xbox!
I think Death Stranding's an absolute masterpiece, people call it an walking simulator but it's really is an adversity simulator. Finished it on the PS4 pro about to have a slight upgrade with series S. I have no doubt that in the next few hours I'll be seriously contemplating an upgrade to the X.

First of all this is not the case, usually - its not the devs fault when a game is badly optimized, but of publishers, because they pay the devs for a certain amount of time-work and by implication a certain degree of quality. There are also the investors who pressure the publishers to deliver the game as fast a possible. The devs only do what they are told, payed and in the time-frame they are allowed. You should do your homework before you speak. Dont do lazy "speaking".

The S is perhaps the most underrated console of all time. It pretty much shows how unoptomized everything is. Death Stranding even after 5 years is still one of the best looking games in the world and it looks and plays fantastic on a little machine you can pick up for 150 bucks. Meanwhile some people are buying a 700 machine so that Sony can pump out insanely unoptomized games at 4k 30-60fps

I'm watching this on a 32" 720p TV that I use as my PC monitor... Aside from slightly mushy texture on the X|S, it's actually okay. Considering the X|S price plus game pass, it's still a valid purchase. Heck, in Indonesia where Microsoft doesn't officially sells Xbox, the X|S sales number is actually okay, at least it's still a profitable business decision to the importers.
And really puts into perspective the lack of skill of today's developers. It's hard to see a current generation game that looks better than this one, the Horizon Series, Red Dead Redemption 2, Batman Arkham Knight, Gears 5 etc. Most of the games that run like ass on Series S are simply ugly or look way worse than these last gen games, even if they utilize "next gen features".

A day ago, i bought a series x refresh edition and omg. It feels like a new generation. Words can't describe the amount of detail and different features, multiple graphics options and more. I play on a pro gaming TV that's vsync 4k 144hz and it looks exactly how the specs say. 3 times better than series s. There's no video or picture that can justify it. You just have to see it.
Does anyone have problem with saving game after using Quick Resume? In my case I can't save te game after lauching it via Quick Resume. When i start the game from the begining everything is fine.
This happened to me, too. It is rare for a game to have an issue with it, but not unexpected. I'll just avoid QR for the time being. Lucky I only lost 20 mins before I noticed.

Its a bit lower rez on SS(but still high enough; 1080 - 1440p I think). On SX is 4k or close to it. Also, some textures(like those for water) are lower quality. Overall is still well optimized for SS.
The decima engine best in the world. Xbox will have the best version of it with DS2. Fox Engine was damn good back in the day too, look at Ground Zeroes 60fps on ps4...

All games from Kojima are good optimizing. The metal gear phantom pain runs at 60fps in ps4 and Xbox one
Both look great. I would say the the X is slightly sharper and better resolution than the s. But not by much.
Fair to say there's a noticeable difference between the two versions, main thing is that both run smoothly and look like a nice experience
