So excited to see how this build turns out! Love that cork piece too! I've seen people use pieces like that to act as a tree trunk with other cork bits for branches, it looks really cool. Love your videos!
Wow! It's looking so good! I was confused as to what you were doing for most of the part one video, then I saw it taking form. I can't wait to see the finished product. I'm inspired to do this for my leo gecko, Winston! Love your videos! So does my 3 year old daughter :)
+Leopard Gecko I'm still undecided on what to even get. Right now it is Bearded Dragon vs Leopard Gecko vs Crested Gecko vs Gargoyle Gecko. Favoring the Bearded Dragon as i keep reading they are more comfortable with being handled. But we will see I'm just taking my sweet time.
There's a bioactive FB group (uk) where they have discounts for various reptile shops for members. They have lots of knowledgeable people on bioactive vivs plus lots of files with info. There's also a shop called bioActive herps that specializes in bioActives supplies here in the UK. The biodude has tons if videos on setting up a bioactive viv.
Great video:) I recently added a Crested Gecko to my reptile room. I currently have him in a 10 gallon regular and plan on Getting him a 18 x 18 x 24 enclosure for him at the end of the month. He currently eats nothing but Crickets, this is because the breeder I bought him from fed him crickets all the time is this good or bad? I want to get him on repashy as well is there a way to get him to eat repashy since he's never had it before?
I know this is an old video, but I am currently working on building a live terrarium for my Crested and wanted to know what kind of worms you used for the cleaning crew? I know Nightcrawlers get huge, so I'm not sure if I should use them or Red Wigglers can be an option too.
+Snipercube thanks :) nope, once I wanted a Mississippi map turtle but at the time my parents said I could :( but my friend bought turtles, and now they're massive :O
Hi! I'm not looking to set up a bioactive viv at the moment but I am looking to get my gecko off reptile carpet when I move her to a new wooden viv. I was looking at slate but I couldn't work out how to heat it while avoiding problems like overheating, thermal blockage, mat malfunctions etc. A reptile specialist recommended to use beech woodchips or LeoLife in a wooden viv, but looking these up people say not to use these because of impaction and I'm really stuck and confused. What would you use?
Hey cool video. Also if you want would you like to do a video about silkworms and Phoenix worms and if they are a good staple diet?( I heard if you feed them Phoenix worms you don't have to give them calcium?)
Hi, im doing a natural terrarium for my crested gecko but i live in croaria and i cant buy jungle dawn light and i dont have a mash top on the terrarium so i was wondering if you know any other lights that are good. Thanks
I have a 2 leopard geckos (I love your vids by the way) and I was wondering how can I get the crickets that won't go in the egg cartons if a cricket gets out how to get them if u know how to help also can I make my own backround for my leo
A Komodo dragon :)) perfect beginner pet! Jk, if you can find one, fat tail geckos beat leopards any day of the week in cuteness and handle ability, and the care is extremely similar. But you won't find them at your local Petco so you'd have to do some searching. 👍🏽Source: I own 9 leopard geckos, 2 fat tails, 3 cresteds, 2 gargoyle geckos, and 14 tarantulas(which also make fantastic pets!)
I got my gecko 2 weeks ago and didn't hold or touch it now that I've waited it gets very nervous and jumps every time I go near it. it is a crested gecko what should I do
+brian gray ah right, yeah I usually hold them straight away. maybe make a quiet sound like I make a tutting sound when I go near my geckos, so they know I'm there, so I don't spook them. It can take some time. There's a vid I did about when you handle your geckos, how to tame sort of thing, you could check that out? :)
+SpotlessDoes Stuff only thing about fish tanks is that you have to pick up your gecko from above, and a lot of people find the geckos react negatively to that, since they feel they're about to be grabbed by a predator.
I've been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now while I prepared my tank to get my first crested gecko. Now that I have him, I can't seem to find info on how often to clean the terrarium, and how I am to do that. :( Please help! (By the way, I love your videos. They're all so lovely!)
Leopard Gecko no the bark will become too acidic one day and the roots will slowly deteriorate. You should use inorganic growing medium like leca aka expanded clay balls when growing in a terrarium

What would you guys recommend for a first reptile a leopard or a crested gecko. I'm kinda leaning towards a leopard gecko but I'm new so...

Is an all purpose 100% silicone okay to use?
How do you buy arcadias products?

what do you do for the heating?
Also if I've got a fish tank that has been used could I use it for a geck
+SpotlessDoes Stuff Yes I will work and I suggest getting a Leo because they look impressive and are easy to take care of...
+SpotlessDoes Stuff only thing about fish tanks is that you have to pick up your gecko from above, and a lot of people find the geckos react negatively to that, since they feel they're about to be grabbed by a predator.
Hmm my gekos seem to like when I pick them up from above idk why but they look up at me and start to clime up me
What is your other cresties name? Not Isla but the other
Carson Kinsley bubble

If you go bioactive you won't have to clean him.
But what I do is clean the substrate once or twice a year but I spot clean whenever he poops
+Leah Jade Thank you so much!
What is her clean up crew?
If I'm thinking of getting a gecko what should I get aft Leo or a crestie
I have the same question I want a gecko that I won't get bored with and that will look impressive in my room
+luke johnson I like leos the most
Crestie for sure
Leo I think they just look more impressive
+SpotlessDoes Stuff Leos are easier to find, and hardier than cresties.
Nice Video
+Teabag Der Teebeutel thanks :)
What gecko is this for leopard or crested or what??
It's a crested never mind
Is 66 grams an appropriate weight for a male leopard gecko he's almost 2
What kind of worms are they?
Can you give me an approximate price for all of this?
How do you clean out a natural terrarium
You don't
Clean up crew bugs that eat the droppings.
The bark will break down and kill the orchid
+Andrew Fan I've grown many orchids lol, they all live in bark and are doing perfectly fine :)
Leopard Gecko no the bark will become too acidic one day and the roots will slowly deteriorate. You should use inorganic growing medium like leca aka expanded clay balls when growing in a terrarium
Get a water monitor
+Lucas Simms hahaa :') someone once offered me their nile monitor, they bought it when it was tiny, and it grew so big. I had to decline lol
I hated that substrate divider its rubbish
+dit dot ooh no don't tell me that :'( haha
