this song really is a grower. didn’t enjoy it when it first leaked but after a few listens it was kind of infectious to me! the chorus could have hit harder but i think it was their intention to make it sound that way. it’s still a great bop and better than 80% of what can be heard on the radio nowadays. especially the music video is mindblowing + mesmerizing. they snapped.
Gen i agree but i’m glad that this chorus has lyrics at all. most of the songs playing on the radio don’t even have that - just a beat drop and some weird annoying sounds and then they call it “a song”.

did u get the message of the music vid? it's about how zedd was willing to help out a robot manufacturing company in Switzerland by teaching a robot (katy) how to be normal and fit in. the robot (katy) fell in love with him. but shes a robot and she shouldnt feel emotion so when she saw the woman on the tv crying, she thought 'thats how i feel' the scene after that she had to put on a fake smile bc shes "a robot". she then hugged him but loved him so much she didnt want to let go bc she loves him so it triggered a malfunction. the company then had to shut her down. at the very end of the vid, she looks over and see's other katys and she realizes she's fake and she's gonna be replaced. the last scene shows her eye shaped like a heart and a tear coming down. that represents her feeling stuff she shouldnt be feeling. THIS VIDEO IS A MASTERPIECE!!

For me it's more like a movie than an mv and the song is it's soundtrack, it's more like the music adjusted for the mv rather than the mv adjusts for the music, it's very unique for me actually the story of the song kinda stood out more, it makes me want a sequel or a full movie of it, the music really helps me feel more of the story it really suits the theme and the story this is why i love it
