Something that has a rubber inlay like the horsepower Rios of Mercedes or Fenoglio ranch touch sole but I work fine with leather sole too it all depends on what you’re more comfortable with when I actually rope the rubber helps but if you are a tiedown roper or steer wrestler, and you need to dismount, fast leather so is probably better.
