Facepunch is actively working on this issue all the time. As is EAC. It's a game of cat & mouse and every game has this issue. Fp this month alone announced a new team they hired who's only responsibility will be working on anti cheat and cheater issues. This is readily available information@@VdubK
@@Reksmoreyeah, Rust has probably one of the more active anti-cheat sytems than any other fps game. Games like Apex Legends are overrun with cheaters, like predator lobbies are more cheaters than legit players.
Psychologically, alot of cheaters are in a trauma cycle most of the time. They had their experience ruined, whether it was by other cheaters or legit players who are just better, and they enjoy passing the trauma on by ruining others people experiences. Because obviously its not very engaging nor fun to essentially watch a robot play the game for you. Its not about playing the game for them anymore. The loot disappears after wipe. Whethery they admit it or not, or even realize it, its about ruining other peoples experience.
I know some guys that do it, just making their own cheats. They try to find as many exploits as possible and have fun with it. Not really trauma or cause they suck at FPSers cause I know they are good. They do it to just ruin others fun. Period. Personally if I did it I would just like the thrill in not getting caught. But I wouldn't risk my 5,000+ hour account.

Facepunch is actively hiring a full time anti cheat team right now. Unfortunately in all games cheaters are a problem and it's literally unavoidable (pve games like helldivers have cheaters) ultimately there are limitations with EAC which is already an incredibly invasive anti cheat. The reality is to even be able to detect cheats you'd have to give up even more security of your pc to play the game and even then with people using 2pcs to use dmas its whole other problem. Cheats will always evolve to go passed any anti cheat and its a constant game of cat and mouse that's got billions of dollars on the line for cheat makers, match fixers etc. You can hardly blame the game for not revealing the steps they are taking to beat the mouse while the mouse is always trying to outsmart and work around the traps.
FacePunch is Ahhhh, I played over 1K hours(not alot, But alot to me) more real about 1.3K, My steam got hacked and i was on vacation too when it happened.. so 2 days after i got hacked i realized from the emails. Chinese name, All friends gone, Random stuff done to my account. And the only game i got game banned randomly for is Facepunch... they wont unban or look into it because and i quote "If your steam has been hacked and then you got banned we can not and will not do anything because you should have had better saftey" and so now im out my favorite game... how dumb is Facepunch
@@Reksmore the game is proper shit from it all lately, I'm finding 1 or more cheater in every wipe, be it vanilla or modded, was playing earlier today as a solo, was fighting a 3 man team, one of the guys knew where I was everytime, CBA with it anymore now, I think that may be me done tbh, really sad as it was a decent escape/time passer, it's got 10x worse in the last 6-12 months for sure, it's becoming a common recurrence. I don’t know if you’re just unlucky, or what, but it’s not all that common that you’re trying to proclaim. You find cheaters in almost any survival, or competitive game. It’s not a game problem, it’s just a cheater problem. As I stated above, anti cheats don’t work because cheats evolve, and quickly. It’s easier to make a Rust cheat, than it is to create something to catch that specific cheat.

I'm almost at the point of being keen to give full access to my PC files to be able to play Rust without cheating. It's pretty sad, but even that probably wouldn't stop it.
People already get past that. Even when anticheat has control over an entire cheaters computer, they can plug their mouse into a 10$ microboard thats spoofed as a regular board, and then plug that board into the computer. It appears just like a mouse and the anticheat doesnt do anything about it. Sure thats only for aimbot, or humanized aimbot, but if they want to they can get a second rig if they want to spend the money for esp like hacks
When i was younger i used to play garrys mod alot and id spawn in loads of enemies and give myself all the guns and god mode its fun for like 5 mins i can't imagine what compels them to do it all the time

Can anyone confrm the 'Cant see into boxes' statement? I play solo vanilla, and assume anyone can see in my boxes. So i'llintentially keep my materials and items, below my total raid cost - so if someone wants to raid AND can see inside, they can see it would be an overall net loss for them. Doing this i've gone 2-3 wipes without being raided at all. This could just be a coincidence or confirmation bias, but it feels like people can see what you have.
Met a cheater that said he only had 1 hand with 3 fingers and thats why he was justifying creating. He didnt have an ego so it was beleivable but you never know

My group delt with this guy on facepunch 1 - He killed our entire legit crew and griefed us because he had an issue with one guy who we had association with (he was banned on 5 accounts in 1 day). He's full of shit and certainly doesnt just go after cheaters .. disappointing to see he can still freely roam around and get access to the game

I dont play rust, but i played Escape from tarkov, used esp and noticed that majority of the raids I was in there was AT LEAST 2-3 other people cheating. Almost every raid, like id say 72% of the raids I was in there was 1-2 other ESP'rs blatantly tracking me through terrain and some of them were more blatant than that. They would OPK (one position kill) or use some form of Silent aim that krill is talking about which would literally shoot you through terrain/walls. I also saw a few people flying through the air. Or some of them would call me out by name, and tell me to drop the graphics card or ledx (high value loot) Its gotten better over the years which is good to see, however as of recent Escape from Tarkov has had a cheating epidemic; where theres been a vaccuum hack. People would load in with a large bag and would "suck" up the best loot in the lobby and just leave. Its pretty wild, but the "closet cheating" is pretty out of pocket/hand. Majority of players in EFT these days, use some form of ESP and would just avoid players/fights and just collect loot on the map and leave. that is Soft esp'ing which is what I did majority of the time. I would only be blatant to the people actively following me through a wall. and most of those times i'd just lose because they would have a better cheat software. It was a monthly sub, when eft first came out it got all the way up to 160-180USD per month or like 20$ a day for a key. It got pretty wild. Hopefully this helps shed some light on the community.
There was a minute where I thought the exact same. Some stuff was like 'this is clearly just admin abilities' but then others.... naw... I didn't show his strafe shooting, and some other things he was doing that were super obvious because honestly people know those exist and i was more interested in uncovering what I didn't know about

Back in the day (before video games) if u like wanted to play football with ur friends, and u were not good enough u had 2 options : train hard and get better, or just quit and look for something else. Pine hosting servers do not do well with large amounts of entities and players in my experience. Too much lag. I don't think they have enough memory for cup cores. I think it server with a 2 epic cpu motherboard and 500+ gigabytes of memory it much better

Its sad, there is NO WAY to prevent hacking...you can eliminate that, but you cant remove that from servers :( all multiplayer games have this issue !

Man is clearly coping when he tries to give all the excuses he did. I think the realest thing he said is "I have nobody to play with" And thats why he cheats.
I dont play rust, but i played Escape from tarkov, used esp and noticed that majority of the raids I was in there was AT LEAST 2-3 other people cheating. Almost every raid, like id say 72% of the raids I was in there was 1-2 other ESP'rs blatantly tracking me through terrain and some of them were more blatant than that. They would OPK (one position kill) or use some form of Silent aim that krill is talking about which would literally shoot you through terrain/walls. I also saw a few people flying through the air. Or some of them would call me out by name, and tell me to drop the graphics card or ledx (high value loot)
Its gotten better over the years which is good to see, however as of recent Escape from Tarkov has had a cheating epidemic; where theres been a vaccuum hack. People would load in with a large bag and would "suck" up the best loot in the lobby and just leave. Its pretty wild, but the "closet cheating" is pretty out of pocket/hand. Majority of players in EFT these days, use some form of ESP and would just avoid players/fights and just collect loot on the map and leave. that is Soft esp'ing which is what I did majority of the time. I would only be blatant to the people actively following me through a wall. and most of those times i'd just lose because they would have a better cheat software.
It was a monthly sub, when eft first came out it got all the way up to 160-180USD per month or like 20$ a day for a key. It got pretty wild.

There was a minute where I thought the exact same. Some stuff was like 'this is clearly just admin abilities' but then others.... naw... I didn't show his strafe shooting, and some other things he was doing that were super obvious because honestly people know those exist and i was more interested in uncovering what I didn't know about

Back in the day (before video games) if u like wanted to play football with ur friends, and u were not good enough u had 2 options : train hard and get better, or just quit and look for something else. These kids ( i can just imagine how unsuccesfull there life could be ) now playing video games, but if they are bad there is the option to just grab mommys credit card and spend hundreds on cheats. So they can feel like they did something, achieved something, have the feeling they are better than others? Which is trully a lie, cause the cheats won not them... also how this guy wanted to justify he was cheating.. I just wana know how they get the motivation to play with cheats over and over and still want to keep playing with insane over powered assists that take all the fun parts of the game out. And how they dont see progression of polishing their own skills, aim, game sense and feel like they accomplished something or got better as a human.

Pine hosting servers do not do well with large amounts of entities and players in my experience. Too much lag. I don't think they have enough memory for cup cores. I think it server with a 2 epic cpu motherboard and 500+ gigabytes of memory it much better
