I owe so much to this franchise...
This movie gave me my fill of adventure as a kid, and kickstarted my drive to start drawing.
After seeing the first film in theaters, I was obsessed with HTTYD. All I did was draw dragons. On any white space I could find on my schoolwork, I drew dragons. I filled pages upon pages with doodles and drawings.
Eventually that turned into me wanting to become a digital artist, and here I am now. Going to college for a digital arts major.
These movies will always hold a special place in my heart, and while I'm sad to see it end, I'm so glad knowing all the kids who are going to watch these movies in the future and get the same sense of adventure and inspiration I did. Getting that childlike hope of wishfulness that somewhere, in another place, dragons might exist. That someday we might know what it feels like to feel the wind whip past our face as we sit on the back of a dragon, soaring through the clouds.
You know those moments in your life that have such an impact on you, you'd do anything just to re-live it again..?
Mine would be this. Watching the first film again in that theater. Not knowing what amazing story I was throwing myself into.
That story may have ended for me, but it's just starting for someone else.

Right now I am working on a drawing of Toothless and the Light Fury and it's coming out grate.
Httyd gave sparked my love of dragons as well as a kid. I've been drawing dragons ever since. I want to become a digital artist in the future as well or maybe a digital animator. I'm fine whichever. Art allows me to create something out of nothing which is absolutely amazing. The trilogy was absolutely awesome and i would never get tired of it. These movies hold a special place in my heart. I give kudos to those who made the movies! ❤

I haven't cried this much in a movie in a long time, that Hiccup grows up and has to let not only Toothless go, but all of the dragons- like the dragons represent his childhood, and that sense of wonder in each of us. Just like Hiccup grows up and has let go, now we as the viewers must, too. 😢

After seeing How to Train you Dragon: The hidden world i’m genuinely upset, The last of its franchise. Ive watched all the movies the day they came out, now i’m 15. I know I might be a bit childish but there will never be a franchise better than HTTYD. This song reminds me of my childhood and everything that happened and so *(this might sound cheesy*) I hope I’ll remember this song for as long as I can.

8 yrs ago, I was in the ending credits of this movie, This song, THIS SONG, played through my ears and permanently sealed it in my ears and now today this 8 yr old song played in my head while I was racing down the hill with my bike and played this song in my mind *cries*
I first saw the movie when I was 11 about to start middle school in the fall. The song was like way to me that I was about to finish this chapter in my life. I would start a whole new chapter in fall. I would end up netting my step dad and step sister in December if they year. I later got a half sister 2 years later.
I really miss Stoick the Vast. Hiccups father is the legendary warrior who sacrifaces himself to save Hiccup to a controlled Toothless

Hands down, i would give up this life to be able to ride a dragon and live on Berk and what not.
I hate but love this feeling, because all I think about is waking up to a dragon, and walking about my house to see the sunny, blue skies with those big puffy clouds, the sheep grazing on the bright green grassy fields, and to hear different roars overhead and to feel the wind lashing at your face as you fly on your dragon at lightning speed.
Makes me jealous.

I still remember when only the first movie was out, and I played it EVERY time in the car when my family was traveling. My siblings were sick of it, but I never got bored of it.
This is Berk, it's Twelve days north of Hopeless and a few degress south of Freezing to Death, it's located solidly on the Meridian of Misery, my village, in a word, sturdy and It's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new, we have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests, you see most places have mice or mosquitos we have...

The soundtracks for these movies are fucking magical. Jónsi and John Powell went above and beyond for these tracks, and the feeling you get from listening to this song and Sticks and Stones is ethereal 😭🤌

I saw httyd 3 yesterday, and I'm still crying. These movies mean so much for me, since the time I watched the first movie when I was a kid I've been in love with the story. I spent so much time daydreaming about dragons and adventures, and I'm so grateful I was able to grow up with this characters. I feel like the third movie was a good ending for the trilogy, it feels like a bittersweet goodbye to one of the greatest things that marked my childhood. Thank you, dreamworks, for all of this
i love the movies too. they influenced my art, and love for dragons! this really gives me so much nostalgia, but i haven't seen the 3rd movie yet. i can't wait to watch it, and i'm so glad you enjoy it aswell as me and so many other people.

This song feels like running through a field as a child, wind in your tangled hair, mountains looming around you with beauty so pure it aches to watch. Family strolling behind, smiling. Stopping to catch your breath, and watching a hawk rise into the air with wonder. It feels like pure exploration and golden light, like landscapes so wide and deep you can't comprehend, but admiring anyway.

Honestly, HTTYD is the best animated film series I've ever had the blessing to witness in real time. From like grade 1 to now, the themes are beautifully etched into my memory, the characters and relationships are my idols and ugh, just gush.

This movie kind of put to shame all modern Disney animated films (not including Pixar), the level of emotion and character development was so strong in this film.
honestly disney movies are a lot of rinse and repeat and its getting old. Pixar and dream works have pulled on far more interesting concepts
One of the things I love about Dreamworks is that they’ve been consistently better at releasing films than Disney or Pixar, and that’s mainly because the CEO of Dreamworks was a former Disney higher up who was tired of the same old thing wanted to bring some new magic to the table - and boy, did they. Dreamworks has been such a game changer in animated film.
Honestly, Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks are my 3 favourite movie companies ever (and in general, all the animated ones, being a crazy fan of this), and I don't think Disney is inferior to DreamWorks... more than anything, I think all 3 of these movie companies have 3 different ways of making movies, and each one is wonderful in its own way! I think they are (albeit for totally different reasons) in perfect equality, and I love all their movies madly! As for the specific HTTYD2, I think it's a real Masterpiece, with no ifs or buts (even outside the animation), and it's literally perfect! (For me, it's one of the few so great animated movies with Coco, The Lion King, Spirited Away, Moana, Up, Wall-E, Treasure Planet, Zootopia, The Little Prince, Brother Bear, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, and somebody else)... ah, and it's one of my favourite movies *EVER* (which is a total of 39, including 19 of animation, even if I really love a lot of other movies too), it's right in my Top 10, along with the 1st HTTYD!!!

When I was 7, this franchise was learning to crawl. When I was 16, it took it's final steps. 9 years of one of the greatest franchises ever. The connection I have with this franchise is hard to describe. It's meant so much to me over the years and it's deeply saddening to see it go. Truly a beautiful series, and it will always have a special place in my heart.

The Httyd score can just make you feel…. Free. When ever the music hits just right, when the chill goes through my entire body, I feel light. I feel like I could fly. When hiccups mom describes how flying feels, is what we feel when we hear the music. Or at least I do. But this music and this trilogy will live on.
I can't even think and find of a word/expression on how to say and express how amazing, wonderful and breathtaking the HTTYD is and this music! It makes me feel so free, happy and excited. It's so comforting. It makes me feel so alive!
