The real question is, what went so wrong in America that someone thinks Louder with the Coward is worth $50 million? Or anything Crowder has done is worth a million dollars?
Thanks for hammering that point about the agents counteroffer home. I watched the stream, and they (Luke) raised the issue numerous times, but Crowder spoke like a politician about it. Just straight glossed over it / muddled it with this 'non-starter' talk. I was starting to fall for the gaslighting, but nice to know the BS didn't go unnoticed by others.
The DW CEO went through the entire thing line by line and explained each term. He also mentioned that DW walked away when Crowder told them that he felt he should be getting paid $30M a year for his show. And they walked away because they said they couldn’t pay that much to him and that they were so far apart they knew it was done. He slso mentioned how Crowder couldn’t even tell him how many subscribers his mug club even had to make a case for what revenue he’d even earn them.

Crowder is such a princess. He wanted a shit ton of money, 30M/year to be exact, and used his friendship with Boreing/Shapiro to get himself exactly that, but DW only offered a 'mere' 12.5M/year which offended Crowder. During Tim Pool's show, Crowder said that that figure wasn't the highest offer. So there was ANOTHER conservative media company that offered him between 12.5M/year to 30M/year. Probably 15M/year to 20M/year I am guessing. But to Crowder, that wasn't still enough. He was adamant that he would get himself a 30M/year contract so he counter-offered DW. DW declined and Crowder attacked DW. I don't understand this. There was another company that offered more than DW, so Crowder should have shut his mouth and went with that company with a higher offer.

Crowder at 17:28, "The agent...I think my agent..." What the hell was he about to say?! Great catch Sam for pointing out how he skipped over that all-important question. There Was a counter-offer. Crowder just doesn't want to admit it because he knows it'll expose him as just being about the money.
Some ppl are only listening to these outlets to hear a wrestling story about good guys struggling against bad guys who secretly cheat. Crowder is trying to sell that audience a similar story as a promo.
They are so disgusting. Arguing that 50 million is just nothing. When people are trying to survive on under $25,000 a year. How much money do these people need?
At 14:37, Sam is absolutely right. Steven's agent asked for a higher dollar amount. Crowder plays it off as though he did so on his own accord, but on whose behalf is the agent acting? Crowder is retrofitting events to suit his current stance that the sticking point was strictly the penalty clauses and not the fee. In his rebuttal video, however, Boering says that subject to negotiations the DW was prepared to pay Crowder a fee of $70-75 million; so obviously they would have alternatively waived (or significantly lowered) the penalty clauses and kept the fee at $50 million.
Crowder isn’t nervous guys. His shoulder holster isn’t there to constrict his chest so now he can take those constant deep trembling breaths freely, he’s just getting more oxygen to his brain thats all.
I love the idea that he finds it outlandish that if he gets demonetized, he should have financial repercussions. I've watched most of the interactions of this situation now, between MR and Hasan. Sam's right. Boreing gave the much more accurate, more reasonable take. But hell, if they keep up this slap fight, I hope it gets messier. Then everyone wins. 😂

TLDR version:
SC wasn't getting offers he felt he deserved, so decided to start his own network, and start a war with his "friends" at DW to get publicity and steal some paid subscribers.
SC is a grifter. It was always about money.
Long version:
SC's contract with CRT/BalzeTV was coming to an end and they were not renewing his contract.
SC tells all prospective suitors (including his "friends") to send offers to his agent/lawyer... because that's how friends interact
SC doesn't get the offers he feels he deserves.
SC counters DW offer with 30M per year.
DW declines counter offer and believes negotiations have concluded amicably (October 2022)
CRT/BlazeTV refuses to disclose Mug Club subscribers to SC
SC is desparate and has no other option than to start his own network
SC registers the big con domain name in December 2022
SC calls Jeremy Boreing on the pretense of a casual chat about XMas, family, kids, etc (early Jan 2023 )
SC secretly records the phone call and ambushes his "friend" about the penalties in the offer sheet
SC posts the "big con" meltdown video and shows the redacted offer sheet that was obviously from DW
JB/DW posts a retort video; going through the offer sheet line by line explaining all the misrepresentations in SC's "big con" video
SC post video of clipped phone recording of JB using the colloquial term "wage slave" as the "gotcha"
SC tells his audience to head over to his big con website and sign up to fight big con and big tech for only $10 per month... bargain!
