What the heck is a geojson?

If you use GIS software, or do any map stuff on the web you'll quickly come across the geojson file format. But what is it? Well, it's just a text-based GIS file format that contains the coordinates of points, lines or polygons. But the important thing is that you can just drag and drop it into QGIS, just like you can with a Shapefile, GeoPackage, KML or other formats.
