    Learning no-flip (sheerin) may be a daunting task. Learning 7 simul is even worse. In this video, I break down and explain 7 simul as simple and in as much detail as possible, so that you can learn the method too! I've watched many tutorials, but none of them properly explain 7 simul, and use confusing letters and memorisation.
    This video covers what I believe is the simplest 7 simul method, straight from the Clock Solvers Discord server (written by bpaul):
    order is dl R DR ur L UL \ (11910)
    (dl means all pins but DL, ur means all pins but UR and \ means UL DR)
    moves in a pair (a, b) will be simultaneous moves where a is the up pin move and b is the down pin move
    the execution will be
    (M1, M2)
    (U to L, M3)
    (C to U, M4)
    (M5, M6)
    (D to R, M7)
    (C to D, M8)
    (intuitive, intuitive)
    memorisation:
    M1 = L to U + (do a y2) L to UL
    M2 = (dont do another y2 yet) U to C (negative of C to U)
    M3 = (still dont y2 back) L to U (negative of U to L)
    M4 = This move is actually intuitive!! (Used to be calculated) match the UL corner to make a 2x2 block around UL (y2 back)
    M5 = R to D + (do a y2) R to DR
    M6 = (dont y2 back) D to C (negative of C to D)
    M7 = Intuitive! match UR to DL when executing
    M8 = Intuitive! make a 2x2 block around DR (y2 back in memo)
    you are now in the correct orientation to start execution (you dont need to do a y2 at the end like in sheerin or whatever)
    for reference:
    \ memo is
    (a, b)
    a = U to C - D + (y2) UL to U + DR to R
    b = (y2) C to U + D + (y2) L to UL + R to DR

    • @kiwicuber
      @kiwicuber  8 месяцев назад

      i used to have that problem a lot, it's probably that you mis-memorised something, but it also could be that you are executing one of the moves incorrectly. go back and make sure everything that you memorise and execute is in the correct order

    I can't express how grateful I am am for this. I've spent HOURS trying to understand Tommy's and Caleb's 7-simul tutorial(especially in the memo part) and still can't get it straight. Your video finally made me understand! I do have a question thought, in Tommy's and Caleb's tutorial, the intuitive part they make a 2x3 block on the left and then solve the rest, but it's different here. Is this still 7-simul, or is it a different method? Also, their tutorial made them memo 6 no. instead of 5. God Bless you!

    • @kiwicuber

      Thank you!! Yes this is still 7-simul. There are many different variants but as long as it only takes 7 moves to solve the clock, the method is still considered 7-simul. The 6th number that they memorise is optional and not necessary. It helps for people who have slow recognition or just want to predict more of the solve, but personally I don't find it that useful.

    • @CalebMartinez21
      @CalebMartinez21 10 месяцев назад

      @@kiwicuber Thanks!!! The 6th number does the intuitive part of matching U with L in the middle of the solve I believe.

    When doing (D to R, M7) this step, I think match UR to DL is a little more complex than oter steps because DL is not still, we must match D to R first before we do M7. In fact, M7 is R to D of the back. Maybe we can memorize another number to make this step more convenient.
