I have an older brother who once played with Daron Planes before. And one day, he discovered Gemini Jets when he was around 8 years old. He saw how did the planes look like. He even kept asking his mom for the Philippine Airlines A340-300. And last year December 14th, he got his first Gemini Jets model. It was a Philippine Airlines A321neo on the 1:400 scale version, and his second one was the A330-300 (A330-343). And today, he has 2 Gemini Jets models.
He got his first one from his counselor for his 13th birthday, and he told me he was surprised. And before he got his first Gemini Jets model, he collected 3 Skymarks models. And he's hoping he'd get another one next month February, or the month after the upcoming month.
But I'd say that Gemini Jets and Daron are good in both ways, it even doesn't matter how detailed it is. Daron are toy planes for kids. Meanwhile, Gemini Jets are Collectibles you can put on shelves, glass cabinets, or 1:400 scale airport displays both on display, even the stands they make too which is sold separately if optional.
And now that he's 13, he's happy with the Models he has today. And I think what he's looking forward into the future is to collect more but not too quick though. And if you're reading this, you can leave a reply, like, whatsoever you wanna leave me with.

I also have a little brother and when he was like 5-6 he got his first 2 planes the first one an air new Zealand 787 and the second one was an airbus a380 emirates livery and you may thing that he still had em right? well no in reality they are nowhere to be found

I’m a Gemini and Daron Fan but Daron is for the family and kids, Gemini jets is for collectors and adults and teens, So of I had to pick it would be Gemini it’s just better more realistic and for what I get them for a good 45 to 50 it’s worth it

I honestly think that GeminiJets is more for older people, like 13+, since if it’s under that the user would just end up accidentally ruining it. Daron is more for like, beginners who are worried to break their GeminiJets aircraft, or if they just can’t afford those aircraft. Both companies are good in their own way, in my opinion.
edit: you are right about the Daron GSE though. i despise how large those are.
Yeah, As A Collector Who Started Last Month. Daron Planes Are Great. Sure They Have Worse Quality Then Gemini Jets, But They Still Work For Collections.
Yea when I was 11 I wasted my Christmas money on 2 Gemini jets, a Alaska a321 neo and Lufthansa a330, I played with them and dropped them both and they basically exploded on impact..still got them to this day

Daron is for like young kids but Gemini jets is for 10+
But Daron is ok I know it has issues but for Gemini gets has a problem to like get it fixed well, it keeps breaking so that is TIE!
As a owner of darron planes that is moving into the big boy Gemini jets I was laughing so hard this was a great video
Both are good in ways, Gemini Jets are for collecting and for looks, they are stored on shelves, glass cabinets, even on airport displays, etc
Daron Jets are made for kids or beginners who want to start collecting jets so they can see if they want to keep collecting, then they can move on from Daron to Gemini Jets or even NG Models.
As a Gemini Jets collector with some Daron jets, I recommend starting from a few Daron jets, maybe 3. If you like it, start collecting Gemini jets, but don’t start off crazy expensive, go for small, 1:400 planes like a Boeing 737-700 or a Airbus A319, they can go for 20-40$, depending on shipping cost. Then, you can start purchasing bigger and more expensive models, even 1:200, then buy a airport display.
Thats what I did, I bought some Daron when I was younger, and now have moved on to Gemini and NG. I Still have my old Daron Collection though, as they are just nice reminders from when I was younger.

Like I got 4 while I was going to Los Angeles,
I have been collecting planes since I was the age of 3, I am very obsessed with planes and the toys, my first ever plane toy was a Daron Jetblue airplane, and the first Gemini Jets I have ever got was the Gemini Jets 1-200 scaled United 747. The Gemini Jets break easily, they are not meant to be played with, they are meant to be kept for collection, if you played with Gemini Jets a little too much, it'll break up, it costs a lot. With Daron, you could play with it for so long it wouldn't break. Both plane toys are well, very good working, Gemini Jets for collectibles and Daron for playing, but Gemini Jets, I would say they are 8+ because 7 or younger aged people always ruin the plane, 7 and younger: Daron 8 or older: Gemini Jets! I like the video rating, loved the vid, keep up the work!

In all fairness daron is just a toy company made for kids, Gemini is a collector company, daron planes are made to play with and wreck while Gemini planes are meant to collect and display…

Daron are cheaper
I collect Daron because its simply cheaper. At the end of the day, its not about the gear, the size, or how it looks. All that matters is that its still a model airplane and its something that we all love
Why the two companies are great for ages
Daron:
Ages 0-3: Plushies
Ages 3-10 (Possibly 11 and 12) Playset and singular planes
GenimiJets (sorry if I said that wrong)

I agree with Gemini jets more feuture but Daron is more for kids
The 787 and the A350 are the best moulds from Daron and the closest to being 1:400 (I did measurements and they are 1:400). Obviously these are meant for kids and not supposed to be realistic. The GSS vehicles are so large because if they were made to scale they would have to be smaller and that would be a choking hazard for these models’ target age demographic.

this is the best rant ever, i collect gemini jets aircraft. I also have daron aircraft and i use them not for collecting, but to throw around!
All my airplanes are from daron, and is not bad like you talk in the video, I think that they do a greater job with the 787, A330 and 747, I think that the worst airplanes, that daron made are the 737 and A320.
But I still playing with those 😂
I remember when I was a kid and got my first Darron (realtoy) planes I got the Northwest and United airport sets that included the planes from the airport store after asking my parents for them. I really hated the fact that the airport equipment was not proportional to the planes even as a kid i thought that was weird.

1:14 there is actually not an A320 in there but a 767 and as I own the 767 i can tell you it is a bit smaller than the American 777 I have. Just pointing that out.

I’m a phoenix collector, and I already collected 40, my latest is the mahan air a340-300 limited, and all the models I bought were realistic, just like Gemini, i recommend you buying those, since they do both look realistic, but Gemini is like expensive.
Phoenix Models is less fragile and more detailed than Gemini Jets, while being less price. Totally agree with you!

I bought a daron F4 Phantom and the back wings were angled different, one was much higher than the other. I tried fixing it, but then it broke!!! and so did the fuel tank for no reason, it just came off

You forgot something Gemini jets break easily but daron doesn’t break easily

You can’t compare Daron to Geminijets. Geminijets are made for adults or even teenagers to collect, so they will be highly detailed. Daron is made for kids to play with as toys, so of course it won’t be as high quality planes and details.
Skymarks might not have antennas but they do have more detail than Daron realtoys if you want a bigger scale + cheaper model! There was a a380 from GJ and a a380 from Daron Skymarks and the Gemini jets one was $144 and the Daron skymarks was $40 so.
Gemini jets come broken and Daron planes come very sturdy
Darron is more cheaper while Gemini Jets are really expensive.
One thing you don’t mention is the Gemini jets are almost 10x more expensive then daron.
Also Daron is made for kids, Gemini jets is made for older ages.
1:16 gemini jets has some 1:72 and 1:100 models too! Such as the 1:100 a380 and the 1:72 cessna 182
Daron is way better no matter what and it’s less fragile. when you try ordering gemini jets they will always come broken in the mail

Not really sure you can compare a 10$ toy vs a 60$ collector’s item. For 10$ it’s not that bad . Kinda of a dumb comparison. I got probably around 70 Gemini jets and 50 darons but I got most those darons In between ages 3 and 11 and most the Gemini jet In between 12 and now. So yeah, one is a toy one is not.
There bigger 1:200 planes are pretty decent if you're just starting out like myself and like bigger models

If your going for a cheaper airport for now (like me) go with Daron, I’m making O’Hare and there’s no way I can afford 100 Gemini jets within the next 2-3 years, just not going to happen. 😂 Once you earn more money and save up to buy $2000-$3000 worth of planes then go for it, but I’m sure many people looking to build a model airport aren’t willing to spend that much.
So I just bought a Daron jet from a flight museum in Atlanta and it is actually pretty good. The model is a Delta L-1011 and it came with a stand. It had a lot of detail for a small model plane and the landing gear looked very accurate. For a model aircraft that costs $29.00 it was pretty good.

You should also mention that GJ models are often 5x more expensive than Daron. With that price it's obvious that Daron isn't gonna get close to where Gemini Jets are at. The point is, Daron models are for kids, Gemini Jets models are for collectors.

Cmon, things don’t have to be detailed to be cool, Darons airplanes are sturdy, the gears don’t break easily, I have a model 747 that is also detailed and the front gear broke
it isn't really fair to compare the two because Daron is much cheaper than gemini.
Daron is designed for kids so that’s why the vehicles in the play sets are bigger that the plane it’s self.
