At level 6, I think, for characters you get 2 gems. I've noticed with your level it's every other level or something like every five levels you get 2 gems

It actually varies. If your character levels up, you’ll get 3 to 5 gems. Not sure about the levels of yourself tho...

It's so hard to save gems because the game keeps on making me use them up. like, when I'm to collect magic and experience from the attractions, I'm accidentally pressing the speed up button and wasting my gems. there's no confirmation either, it's just immediate loss of gems.
