I can't be the only one mentally screaming at the screen to CALL THE COPS. From the moment Charlotte said she stole a spare key, broke in, and is currently occupying the house. Call the cops.

I had a co worker that was like this. When I had surgery she promised to come over every day and bring me soup. She never did. When I finally sold my house, I used some of the money to buy a truck. Her young daughter told me I should give them my truck because I already had a car. There are users out there, so beware especially when people try to get real friendly with you.

my ex now bff and I had this happen the other way round. he and I helped his uncle with a lot of heavy hard work on his bed and breakfast hobby farm and gave him money every week to help. we were there for about 6 months and managed to clean, organize and arrange stuff for sale we picked his fruit and helped with the grape vines. we were promised a good van but all knowledge of that hand shake agreement was denied and we walked away with a bad taste in our mouths. his uncle is a cnut who believes he's better than anyone else. I almost a asked him for a kiss because I like a kiss when I get fcuked over but he would have flogged me.

Friendship is not supposed to be one sided..I would've IMMEDIATELY called the police the minute she told me she's in my house.. that's breaking and entering someone's domicile without their permission.. the nonsense back and forth was unnecessary.. she is looney and need to be brought down to reality.. we can't have this airhead walking around thinking crap like this is ok..

I'd be OK with it, if it were a matter of combining resources. For example, one person has the money to pay for groceries, but they're a bad cook, or too busy to take the time to do it properly. One person is a good cook and has time, but wants to save on groceries. So, they combine forces: One puts in capital, and the other puts in sweat equity. That's perfectly fair and reasonable.
It's like the parents who cooperate with each other to form a community of home-schoolers. "You teach math, and I'll teach English. Martha can take history, and Greg teaches science. Who can teach computers? Oh! Let's see if we can recruit Sarah to help out. I understand that she has flexible hours, and IT is her job, so she'll be an expert!"
I used to babysit for a family that was part of one such "Academy." The children were home-schooled, under the guidance of the parents (so they didn't have to worry about politics, one way or the other), and the kids got LOTS of socialization. In fact, they got more socialization than in public school, because the classes were more open, and the children were encouraged to socialize DURING CLASS, rather than being told, "Sit down! Shut up! No talking during class! No talking in the hallways! You only have five minutes to get to your next class, so don't waste time! We're cancelling recess! One semester of P.E. is sufficient. Oh, and the lunchroom is too noisy! SHUT UP!" But at the homeschool academy, the children got LOTS of chances to play with friends. They did a lot more hands-on stuff, as well.

    • @AuntLoopy123
      @AuntLoopy123 Год назад

Of course, there's only a 0.00001% chance that this nutjob actually PAID for the groceries when they had lunch every day.

"Can't afford the things your family has..." And that's our problem, how? And your husband ACTUALLY believes that he's getting a house for free? So, what is he on??!!??
You want new accommodations? How about a huge, big house, with separate rooms for everyone. It has a nice big yard, a fully stocked kitchen with cooks preparing your meals. And it is super secure and on top of that you get to wear the latest fashions, too! It's called prison!
Now, OP, it's partially your fault to catering to her in the first place!

And this husband believes that really happens? Towards the end it sounded like Isabelle was getting choked up because she really didn't want to call the police but Charlotte wouldn't listen to reason so it was too late. She really does need HELP and quickly.

I used to know a mooch like this. She initially presented herself as a salt of the Earth, always there to help in a pinch type but over time, she'd always be asking for help and when she was asked for help, it was always excuses why she couldn't or low effort. My breaking point was when she crowed about getting a decent sized settlement check, promptly spent it on electronic toys for herself and not a day later was begging people for money because she wasn't going to make her rent. Last I heard, a friend offered his rental place to her at no charge as long as she did the upkeep and repairs on the place. She trashed the place so bad the neighbors reported it and the friend evicted her. She whined on Facebook about how horrible he was being, kicking her out in her time of need only to have him respond in detail of how wrecked the place was, and how much it was going to cost him to have professionals fix things. Then everyone she'd done similar to started chiming up. One guy who loaned her some class textbooks he had never got them back since she sold them off rather than return them. So, yeah, there are people like Charlotte out there and you're best off dropping them soon as you notice the mooching behavior.

Why would you expect a friend or anyone else to give you ANYTHING when they move, them offering it is one thing but EXPECTING it is crazy.

Listen hard to this so called friend. She's not your friend and never has been one. She's only a friend to get what she can get. This woman is a gold digger and you have already fed her constantly and given her rides. Charlotte isn't joking about taking everything of yours. Never allow her in your new home and stop thinking that she's your friend. Charlotte isn't anyone's friend. She uses people all the time. Watch your back and your house key and your car key.

How do you explain reasonable to your husband and especially your children. I'm glad they did move away. Those children would have had a hard time at school. Even though it wasn't their fault.

Make the lunches, drive them, bake for them....did this woman do ANYTHING for herself?
I told somebody the French government gave me the Eiffel Tower for free so of COURSE they have to give it to me. OOOOh Boy.
How is the husband buying into this? Unfortunately for whatever the heck you were doing, you have to go home and call the police. I know she said she can't go home to the next day but pretend the house is on fire. Unless you are in the other hemisphere and it is over 12 hour flight so you can't physically get there, I do see a problem how you prove your house is your house remotely.

Too much of unwanted dialogues. Someone is demanding to give your appliances and house for free, and you are speaking logic and sense to them. No person in right mind would be listening to such scummy and unreasonable demands. Even the most humble person would put them in their place, when she called the protagonist "selfish".

"Now I have to do so much more myself..." Aww, let me get my microscopic violin.
"I want the house..." Why, you're getting evicted? 😂 yeah, you can have it for $350,000!
"I'm expecting something cause I'm your friend..." Rude much!

Breaking and entering, on a first offense with no high value theft involved, is a fairly minor misdemeanor anyway. Much less of a crime than most people think. It would get her a few months of probation and community service, even without compensating the victim. It's not a prison charge.
