May be he is right.In my hostel time (2004-05) my all roommates were muslim.2 out of 5 muslims were with pakistan team. At that time we have not taken seriously.after 2008 we come to know the seriousness of the matter.
When I was in 8th standard, a muslim boy used to sit beside me. He very often used to literally brag that he supports Pakistan in Cricket whenever we used to have discussion on cricket and sometimes insisted that he has relatives there or something, don't know if it was true or false. He even bragged how his father has gun and no one in the neighborhood can bother his family and what not. Dont know if that was true either. At that time, I didn't take such stuff seriously and laugh it off but now I think what kind of psyche must a boy in 8th standard have to brag such stuff to his classmate. What must have been going on in his mind...What was he trying to prove by such bragging?

In CWC 2023, they actually brought Pakistan flags and chanted 'Pakistan jeetega' in stadium. There was a terror attack few weeks before the CWC and people were abusing Jay Shah to invite Pak team yet Hyd crowd went to the stadium to cheer for them. Imam ul Haq openly posted a pic with tea from his Hyd hotel to mock Abhinandan yet they went to support the same Imam. Pak cricketers themselves admitted that they had received love from the city and they were in high spirits. They went to Ahmedabad expecting the same but unfortunately for them, the new Ahmedabad crowd broke them mentally from which they were not able to recover
