    That chipper looks like it’s the way to go with those big jobs. Especially if you can get it rented for a decent price. I bet it saved a few trips to the dump. Nice work fellas!

    Props to Josh for going hard on that chipper. He definitely earned that pay and I think many of us could agree that he needs a raise.

    If you wear a welders cap backwards under that hard hat it will keep the sweat out of your eyes. You can rinse it thru out the day to clean the sweat out and keep your head cool.

    • @JuarezDerrick
      @JuarezDerrick 3 месяца назад +1

      They are expensive. Unless you use them all day everyday it is just cheaper to rent one when you need one.

    • @gunnerranch
      @gunnerranch 3 месяца назад

      @juarezderrick9647 sounds about right. What's the rental cost on one. I know it's differnt in cali

    • @JuarezDerrick
      @JuarezDerrick 3 месяца назад +1

      @@gunnerranch to rent one is about $500-$800 per day, to buy a small used one that size about $100,000

    • @JuarezDerrick
      @JuarezDerrick 3 месяца назад +1

      @@gunnerranch the only reason I know is because I see them online all the time while I am looking for a used skid steer here in the Houston area

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  3 месяца назад +1

      Dang $500-800 is wild 😳
      Hammer paid around $300 to rent that one. It's a gas, so they are on the cheaper end. I want to say they cost 25-50k depending on condition... But yeah, it's not worth buying if you won't keep it busy.

    Nice footage. I can see how a rotating log grapple for your mini skid could help load that chipper.

    When you are doing chips on a short wall trailer, you can put a 4x8 sheets of plywood around the perimeter and it will get you another foot all around

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  3 месяца назад +2

      Yeah, if they continue to rent it for chipping, I'll do something to make it more efficient! Thanks for the comment boss 🫡

    boys you will get muscles slinging the bigger saw around...exactly like hammer said. deal with the weight. the first cylinder is the biggest tube to will with fluid... takes longer than the other two stages to fill. need 16 ft boards for the side of the 3 ft dump so he can fill it more when using a machine that can reach over everything
