BTW, a little history - The EQP-1A was invented in the 50s. This feature-rich version EQP-1S3 was initially a custom-order only piece starting in I believe the 60s. So for the longest time it was a super rare version. Until modern day Pultec brought it back to life. And now it lives in plugin land, as well !
@@RadiumRecordsHollywoodDid I fall for a gag? ha ha.. Anyway all good. Finally the solid state option of the Pultec. Right now this is my favorite part of this thing but its all great. And none of my EQ's can match these curves either BTW. Fabulous!! Mixwave you've done it again.
I am switching more and more to hardware now. I am tired of people manufacturing these same plugins, and expect everyone to pay a 100 usd for something that is oversaturating the marketplace. Ridiculous. At least when you copy hardware, you can't just push out a copy all the time, you will have to innovate at least a little bit. Everyone with the plugin doctor, is a coder now, pushing out Pultec clones. What happened to innovation?
* Pultec-EQ-plugin-market oversaturation alert! * At this point,i'd pay about 20-30 usd for this, since everyone is pushing these things to the marketplace, and there is no real value for the Pultec EQ clones anymore. The more people make these, the more they are devalued. Simple economics. 100 usd for this? Can we say...INFLATION?
I disagree. This plugin is not made for “everyone”, this is for those that want the best of the best with a Pultec EQ. It also opens up the colors of a Pultec (not just another EQP-1S). Demo it, shoot it out, but don’t hate something you haven’t even tried…
yeah bro you're in a different ballpark. It would've been more accurate to say UAD Pultec already existed for a decade and is almost undiscernable from the hardware in a blind test. That was already the only pultec we ever needed. All of these other companies just keep making the same thing with slight differences. In capable hands like those of our amazingly awesome reviewer RadiumRecords (seriously love your energy bro), both of these plugins can craft an incredible sounding modern mix.
@@musiclover-r9m Absolutely. I think also this EQP-1S3 is super uncommon and gives some new color options that are VERY cool to see on a pultec. Especially considering this plugin was made in conjunction with Pultec themselves, using all the OG schematics.

Love that!
Love the way you work, you definitely improved the mix. Thanks for all your great tips!
Thanks for stopping by!
@@RadiumRecordsHollywood You were so right about the Pultec. Wow, it adds so much warmth.
Love it !! So proud of this thing
Absolutely crushed it!
Super clear explanation of how this plug in works!
Seriously hope it was helpful!
Sounds so good!
Sooooo fire!
Thank you for the discount code 💯
Yo! You’re welcome!
sound cohesive and good i like how it sounds
It's like it can't sound bad...
i wish i was beter without using eq's where i can't see the waveform.
@@BrianTylerComposer I think you’re doing damn good for yourself brother! 🫡
dam i love that strings feelling
Pure silk…
CODE NEVER WORKED FOR ME LAST NIGHT
What code did you use? Radium7?
I tried both Radium7 72 neither worked
@GeorgeWitham The code Radium7 was only good for the first 72 hours... You probably missed the window. Sorry!

You're cool :D
You are!
How does it compare to UAD or Ruby2? I really love Mixwave but already got VLC from them which kinda pultec style EQ.

Not sure why you’re here still… You should go make your own hardware and start a Facebook group.
@@RadiumRecordsHollywood that's not a very nice thing to say

Sorry. Q4 beats them all. Game changer.
You’re over there talking about something completely different… Pro q4 is NOTHING at all like this Pultec. Apple to oranges my guy
