It's impressive how fast V is, teleporting around the entire battlefield so elegantly. Almost looks like another character...
Although half of what he was, he is still, undoubtedly cool. As Vergil, he's cooler but in this form, albeit being half of who Vergil was, he is still cool
@kakure60 V is just Vergil after losing his powers. "Visions of V" make it very clear all of what he says outwards is a fake persona. V is very much Vergil, progressively getting humbled throughout his journey as a human and by the fear of his death.
V may not be everyone’s favorite to play, but he’s got some of the coolest animations in battle.

V takes the most Discipline but is actually more broken than Nero or Dante.
I think its a really cool concept for a dmc character. I just think they need to find a way to make him better to controll. Maybe make shadow and the damn bird re position faster.
He is actually very fun to play

@Baxi Tabaxi I wouldn't say high skill *floor* though. Skill ceiling is definitely higher than people give him credit for but he's pretty easy to play

He's just too easy to play so people aren't really impressed but this video, and this comment, are diamonds in the rough. Doing combos with the other characters are much more fascinating to see. V's form of fighting is similar to how many people nowadays enjoy classical music. Very little people enjoy it

I've always adored the summoner/Beastmaster playstyle and for me, this hits it out of the park.

@@craftygeek5705 I loved V's moves' naming scheme as a chess player lol, though i wish the green orb gainer and white orb gainer were called something like "increment" (from chess time increments in certain time formats) for green orb gainer, and i dunno maybe like "grandmaster" for white orb gainer?

It's been at least a year since you made this comment, but I highly doubt you're as bad as you think. Comparing yourself to the number one guy will always leave you feeling lacking. Besides, now you have some new combos to try out thanks to this video.

It's kind of impressive that despite being the human half, V is astonishingly more similar to Vergil than Urizen is. His movements are so calculated, fluid, graceful, yet deadly. I genuinely feel like if he inherited the blood lust and power Urizen had leaving him just some mindless beast he could have possibly been a far greater threat than any other boss in the franchise.
In short, V is the brain, Urizen the body and power
now imagine what it would've been like if phantom didn't die, and if V caught him
I hope they add onto V’s play style in future games. Kinda like how Nero was a bit basic in 4, but they added onto him in 5, I hope V (or a character with similar abilities, given story reasons) gets an overhaul to make him even more fun

As long as I'm veteran of dmc and can do cool stuff with dante/nero/vergil I fucking admire stylish combos with V more than mine. You can be godly at normal slayers but V.. being good at V is different level

I mean, now that he's reintegrated back into Vergil and everyone is aware of how he truly feels, we'll see more of V spiritually represented with a much more calm Vergil that's still full of snark.

V combo is very hard that you must also take summoned creature position into consideration. Where are they, how much health they have, which combo was you using on them, which direction was they facing against, and the ultimate difficulty: know when to call them back to cover you in the time of danger. So just to land a decent combo with V, with what you have in mind, is 10 times harder than smash button and let's it work.

Well, *now I can say Vergil is both my first and second favorite Devil May Cry character.*
I had to remap my buttons just for V. Super rewarding character when you are actually able to use him properly with the right mapping

Its funny how my first S and SS I got in the game was my second and third respectively battle encounter using V in the first mission he becomes unlocked, that moment I realised that I foud my main, his combos are strong, simple and beautiful, the one where the Leopard sends the opponent flying and the bird explode is so fucking awesome

Or the amount of times He used the ranged version of Combo A instead of the regular version against enemies standing RIGHT INFRONT OF HIM, Let alone the times he DIDN'T use it against airborne enemies LIKE THE DESCRIPTION SAID HE WOULD.

I just recently beat bloody palace with V with an S, thought I was the shit. This video definitely put me in my place..
I wasn't really fond of V's playstyle until I played him in Bloody Palace. His highly damaging, wide area attacks combined with the smaller arena makes him extremely fun to play!
At first I find V a bit slow and repetitive but once I master the combos, he's incredibly badass and awesome just like the big 3!!
i love how nightmare just gets summoned at the end to just watch the combo
And to think, you don't need to know ANY of this stuff to actually clear Bloody Palace. This game is a miracle.
Did V get some update? Cause now I see him spinning like top in mid-air. I feel like V is missing an important skill here that needs to be added cause most V players need to do hilarious hops to cut-off combo or to move from one place to another which sucks.
